Nissan Patrol Spark Plugs wire melt when overheated?

When Mt 1995 Nissan Patrol overheated because of Radiator problem the car didnt start after that and the mechanic says the wires of spark plugs have melted.

Now i have spent a lot in the radiator changing and i need a second advise it this can be true.

simply cut the wire remove the spark plugs and change the wires and spark plugs which is not very expensive.
