How can i remove double sided tape from dashboard?

Air freshener in the is stuck with a double sided tape and i keep changing the refill now and then. now i want to change it all together but i am scare to pull it off as i think it will damage the dashboard of the car.

Any handy tricks i can use?

remove the fresher slowly first and then with a spatula that is not sharp remove the tape u can also use a thinner.
