Replacing car battery

Hello everyone. These days the battery of my maxima is running really down. I took my car to the center and they advised me to change the car battery. I am not really a technical person, so can anyone tell me what are the things that i need to keep in mind before I replace the car battery?

Before replacing the battery, just keep in mind that the replacement battery must have the same configuration as the original car battery. Also, the replacement battery should fit in the battery tray.
