How to know if there are any leaks in your car?

I was just wondering if there is a specific maintenance or regular check up to know if there are any leaks on your car. Is it something that we can trace immediately or do we have to wait until there actual hose is cut or broken and that it is actually leaking?

I am not really sure how you can know if there is a leak or not. There are symptoms though that you might want to check. Check to see if you smell oil or petrol in your machine and if it prominent.

I dont really understand. If there was a leak you would see it. If you do a general inspection under neath the car. Best put it up on some jacks and have a look with a torch. What sort of leak are you looking for.
