ToyotaDubai
The Aurion is a mid-size sedan based on the Camry but with a more powerful V6 engine than its sibling possesses. It has different front and rear end styling, but underneath is very similar to Toyota’s workhorse sedan. Various upgrades have been given to the Aurion to differentiate itself from the Camry – the theory being that buyers spending the extra money want something a bit different. As well as the engine and exterior design, the interior has a much more premium feel, with plenty of soft touch materials and the option of far more impressive specification. Four versions of the Aurion are available (in the UAE), starting with the Touring grade, which despite being the ‘entry-level’ trim comes well equipped. Included are a six CD changer, Bluetooth phone connectivity, cruise control and a powered sunshade, as well as keyless entry and front fog lamps and 17-inch alloy wheels, as well as a rear spoiler. The mid-range model adds an auxiliary socket to the stereo for MP3 players, and also features side and curtain airbags for increase safety. VSC (electronic stability control) and traction control are added, and a smart key means the car can be unlocked and started without removing the key from your pocket or bag. The top-range model adds a sunroof, with a further top range model adds leather seats and a satellite navigation system, along with parking sensors. The power plant for all models is a 268bhp, 3.5-litre V6 engine, which drives the front wheels through a six-speed automatic gearbox.
