how will i know which is red and black panel

if the color of my friends car battery is faded the black and red how will i know? i have heard stories that it will throw me off i a go wrong. please help she has been riding with me as we dont want to risk the car's and our lives.

see you red and black for the battery its going to be same for his. 99% of the time LEFT is red RIGHT is black or blue.

the older battery panels were worn out that is why i asked anyways i changed the battery so now life is more clearer. thanks guys.

For anyone else in similar confusion can follow simple step. Black is having earth small wire as well embebed under the main socket, so the point that has two wires (1 thick main wire + 1 slim wire) is black and other one that has 1 thick wire is red.

Even if you go wrong, if you wont throw you off as its just 12V DC current. It will simply not start the car, so you can reverse and check. Not a big issue.

what is changed in major service i had minor one a year ago. there is no message that indicates anything should be changed.

what i have to do is sell the car and want to get once service done before i do.
