Thank you all so much for joining us last night! The weather was still very much doable, the cookies delicious @Ana ,and it was so great to see old friends back in the Carnity family @samamara! Your commitment and support to drive all the way from RAK to Al Razeen is admirable. Thank you so much. I think we all had plenty of time to mess around with our camera settings, or in the case of @Zubail his bazooka π and i was super impressed with everyone's results. Even @Thomas54675 that just showed up with his phone was getting stellar results! I just selected to upload two photos which i liked. One was with the 14mm Samyang f2.8 where Sam was just pointing her laser at the sky. Gives it a nice sci-fi atmosphere. The second one is with the 35mm f2.0. There's also a gallery made for this event. Feel free to put your photos also in there. See you all back in the sand! (or starry skies in this case)6 points

Dear Desert Drivers, thank you for joining the drive today. We had a great time in the desert. Starting from a sand track in Lisaili, we entered progressively into the desert, and very soon we were surrounded by dunes. We made our way further into the desert, using the wide ridges on top of the dunes when possible to try avoiding the vegetation, going up and down, with sometimes very steep inclines, experiencing different kind of sand, sometimes hard and solid, sometimes very soft or surprisingly humid. We had a few refusals, totally fine and normal while we are still trying to feel the traction and assessing the required momentum to cross an obstacle. A few stucks gave us the opportunity to take the shovels out, to remove sand from below the car and release the driver. Progressing further South, with the Eye of Sauron watching us, we finally reached a sand track from where we took East in the direction of Murqab. We finished the last 30 min on sand tracks, increasing the pace, adding a few climbs for the view, just enjoying the desert drive. Well done @Pajero-ME Martin for your first drive! @Pramod Sathyaseelan, well driven, but sometimes, you are loosing it, work on your focus and anticipation, @edward-392 excellent drive, keep discovering the capabilities of your car. @Simon Thomas, thank you for the 2nd lead, you were following my indications and anticipating my moves. Great thank you to @Mahesh_ in sweep, watching the convoy and assisting the drivers when required. Enjoy the long weekend and see you soon !2 points

What an awesome experience! Thank you all for this adventure, especially @JeromeFJ and @Mahesh_ for your guidance...always professional, calm and precise!! My front bumper is deformed after this trip...I think a common issue with the standard Pajero bumper. I will open a post in the forum later. Everyone have a great weekend and see you soon!1 point
