  1. Yes! I feel the same way. If anything X5 could be an even better car. Seating capacity is 4 for the X6 and 7 for the X5. The power is the same at 232 bhp at 4000rpm. X5 has 8 gears while X6 has 6. The fuel economy of the X5 is 11.7 kilometers per liter and 7.2 kilometer per liter for X6. So for me X5 is the winner. Did I explain it well ?
  2. What causes the broken kms range in my X5, its been like this since the time i bought the car. Only last two numbers are broken that i keep guessing easily, any simple way to fix this issue. fast help is good.
  3. Hi guys , my m3 is getting a bit old and i was wondering of touching it up a little to have fun with it. someone i know have these really cool side mirrors on theirs. I was wondering if this is a safe and easy-to-do process. I love the concept of rear view mirrors that too sporty kinds with the m3. has anyone else every installed them themselves before?
  4. thanks charl ill keep that in mind. Majority of the things were already on my checklist but the extra details and the experiences are very important!
  5. this is great guys, getting first-hand maintenance information from existing bmw owners ... awesome! thanks for your time everyone.
  6. hey guys, I was preparing a checklist for my new bmw and wanted to know what the experienced bmw owners tell me about how to take care of my car. any small or big suggestions would be great.
  7. @ charl Thanks for the tip bro!! Unfortunately, I seem to have a genuine problem. @ kevin Interesting observation my friend but this is a pretty recent development and not something that I have been experiencing since the first day I bought the car.
  8. Oh my gosh thanks a lot that sounds relatively simple ! I hope i get through this without screwing anything else up!
  9. I thought the process was simple, tried looking it up online but there is a bunch of gibberish available. I was sure that i could do it on my own !! no step by step details available?
  10. Hello, a few weeks ago I bought the 328i 07 and have now started to get used to this car. I am not sure about a couple of options and how to reset a couple of things. Few things that have really impressed me is the way the car determines when it requires servicing. Anyhow I am aware of how to change the oil in the car but don't know how to reset the oil change light. i am assuming it shouldn't be a difficult process. Can someone guide me? Thanks
  11. I would love to buy a cadillac CTS now ... although its going to be a hard call on leaving my baby bmw. I have had it for almost four years now and it hasn't given me any big problems. its just that I get a rental from my work every other month and driving other luxury cars really tell you what you are missing out on while being stuck to BMW due to its name and the hype and not to forget the expenses involved to keep the car up to par. Its the Cadillac CTS or a Range rover for me
  12. a lot of x3s manufactured between 2008 and 2010 have this problem. its a pity the people over at bmw didnt even bother to recall them. I have personally been a victim of this problem long ago. Thank god i got out of it by selling off my car
  13. Hi folks!! I have a 2004 M3 SMG convertible and to be honest it has seldom given me any problems in all these years. Lately it is doing this thing where (usually) in second gear it starts jumping/hopping. It is NOT the shifting of the transmission and I am absolutely sure about that. It is totally bizarre because no one can locate the source of the problem. On top of that, every technician keeps lecturing me on the SMG and I just can not seem to convince anybody it is not the shifting. The experts/visitors on this forum are my last hope. Any suggestions?
  14. oh good post people, why did we forget to mention the drivers of Shrjah, Ras Al Khaima, Ajman and abudhabi. the worst ones are of sharjah the way they drive is like there is no one but them on the road. change 4 lanes at a time and never use the indicator. i thought driving in delhi is a task but i was proved wrong.
  15. basic maintenance tool can be tire pressure gauge to check tire pressure. voltmeter for checking the battery voltage, puncture kit is always handy and also a torch. Keep extra fuse at hand, and always keep one or tow coolant bottles for just in case.
