  1. Sorry to hear of your situation. Call the Police now. I went through much the same situation with this person. I read about George on this forum and decided to contact him for a problem I was having with the auxiliary fan in my 750. This problem turned into a problem that George discovered with my drive shaft. While I was never able to determine what shop George actually works at, I did go to "his" shop to meet him after two weeks without my car to see what work was being done. On that day, my car was not there and after waiting for an hour, George was a no show, but he did answer his phone and say he was just around the corner. While waiting for him, I was told he is freelance and takes cars to multiple shops. After 5 weeks of not bringing my car back, not showing up when he said he would return the car, not calling, not answering his phone and when he did, he would tell me he was waiting on parts or that the part he had installed didn't fix the problem. I thought I would never get my car back. It was not until I threatened to contact the police within the next hour, that he finally showed up with my car. My car had scratches on the hood and when I asked for the receipt for parts and labor, George confessed that he had replaced my BMW parts with second hand parts from the junk yard and that was why the problem took so long to resolve. We did a test drive and the problem with the drive shaft seemed resolved, but needless to say, the problem is not fixed and after 5 weeks I have no idea how many BMW issued parts are now junk yard replacement parts in my car. I also received Salik charges because he was driving the car. Of course, according to George, those were test drives. Really ... call the police now.
  2. Hi Salman, hank you so much for this offer. The vibration is only felt occasionally a its when driving but does get quite violent to the point where the passenger can also feel it. The park brake light is always on but does work.....although before this chap put new pads on it worked perfectly! 0501215229 is my cell number, be happy to talk with you. Cheers,
  3. Thanks mate. It seems I have once more been taken for a ride.... I used a mechanic recommended on this site "George" and it appears he just sub-contracts the work out. went in for a thermal fan replacement 5,400aed and 4 weeks later I have a scratched car with a bad vibration and no working park brake! OMG, where have the honest decent mechanics gone? Cant even get this chap to answer the phone to get these issues sorted so went to the shop he said was his and go figure, not his! and a big sty.... no wonder I have scratched and small dents everywhere....I am very dis-encouraged and am seriously contemplating selling and buy new....but not BMW! cheers very stressed BMW owner.
  4. Yes I agree, since buying this car it does seem any item or labor is expensive. Or they are just not a reliable car with expensive parts! But love drivin mine! [email protected] is my email. cheers
  5. Hi Mate, I am afraid I have George looking at my fan and other service things and he seems to be very fair and reasonable. full service, machine the discs and new pads, fix the fan for around 5,000. he tried to find a good second hand fan but they were not up to standard. he bought the complete new assembly for around 2500. I am away on leave returning on the 1st, I would be happy to talk with you and share information. 050 1215229. Cheers,
  6. Do you have a phone number or email for Tony? thanks
  7. Dear fellow members, I would appreciate advice from anyone on recommended independent mechanics that I could go to in Dubai that have provided a good and Fair priced repair/service please? I have a 2007 750 LI that I jst spent 8,000 on getting a new a/c compressor and now I have electric cooling fan that is constantly running at top rpm, worried it will fail soon! Car has just 60,000 km... very disappointed and appreciate any recommendations asap. Thanks members
  8. thank you so much, the new compressor costs 8,000dhs, unfortunately I had to get it done but have the old compressor and hope I can get it fixed and recover a little money! Thanks again
  9. Can anyone help with a company that can offer repair to or replacement of A/C compressors for 750LI 2006?
