How difficult is it to change alternator bearing on Cadi?
shamal replied to yakib's topic in Cadillac CTS Forum in UAE
It is not a good idea as you would have to completely disassemble it, it wont matter if it is the drive end or brush end bearing. -
The task is very simple. You can change in about 15 minutes, without removing the headlights. passenger side was the easiest, just pop out the airbox. Driver side has the washer fluid in the way but I removed one bolt I think and tilted the fluid box back... How to remove the headlights too. quick summary for those removing the headlight assembly. There are three 10mm Bolts that hold the assembly. The two that are on top are easy. The third is located underneath which is located behind the wheelwell. BUT you MUST remove all the the grille snaps. Also, you must remove two 10mm bolts behind the wheelwell to remove the headlight housing. The reason for all the other bolt/snaps removal is to make sure you don't scratch the bumper or grille when removing it.

Visual look. If it looks clog and too dirty and turned black and cant air clean any further, better change

Its a bend or broken axle. Very difficult to break unless you have an accident or jumped on footpath with high speed.

First doubt is fuel filter, second doubt is fuel pump. No other things to doubt in such cases.
