  2. Not really man. I think detailing should be given once you find the genuine dealer for trading. All the history and detailing of your car should be considered once the genuine trader is willing to complete the deal legally.
  3. Tire and wheel turn out are of two types actually: 1. Lateral Runout: This happens when the steering is shaking 2. Radial Runout: This happens when the suspension is shaking.
  4. Are mechanical fuel pumps still used in new cars or were they only patterned for old cars?
  5. I wanted to buy a used car. Someone is offering me Nissan Tiida, 2008 model. I really liked the car but my friend told me that Nissan Tiida has an issue with the paint. The paint peels off really easliy in Tiida. IS there anyone who owns a Nissa Tiida and have a peeled paint on their car? Please share if so.
  6. You know that there is a refrigerant in a car which is supplied to the AC of the car. The refrigerant needs to be very pure that most of the people are not aware of. When one time the refrigerant in my car was contaminated and I spent lot of money and time to decontaminate it; that’s when I realized that contaminated refrigerant can cost you lot of bucks. Before going further, you should know that the universal refrigerant suited for cars is R-12a, and nothing else. All other refrigerants are really harmful for the car. So, refrigerant contamination is when other refrigerants (like R-134a, R-22) are pulled into the refrigerant with R-12a. Since these refrigerants are flammable, it contaminates the complete refrigerant and your refrigerant is no longer pure. Rather, the chances of your car getting fire increases rapidly. And don’t talk about decontaminating it. Most of the times, it’s impossible to decontaminate it. But if you still go for decontamination, then first the cost of the process. And second, the time to do that. Replacing the dryers, filter and then the experts charge you on hour basis to vacuum purge. The cost and time involved in the whole thing is really high. So, when you refill the refrigerant, you need to make sure that it’s pure. You know what’s the interesting part? Many of the auto shop people cannot even judge if the refrigerant is pure or not. I mean it’s ridiculous. It’s a huge damage for the auto shop as well, if the car council realizes that the car had damage because of their refrigerant supply. And also, if an auto shop expert tries to convince you by selling any other refrigerant than R-12, don’t buy it. All other refrigerants or not approved by the car council and RTA as well. Your car will not pass emission/RTA test if you have any other refrigerant in your car.
  7. And how is it different from manual mechanism belt fan?
  8. Temperature warning light is really a bad sign. Continue driving? Not at all. Stop your car NOW! Temperature warning light means that the temperature of your car is too hot. I remember one time when I faced this issue and I continued driving my car. The radiator in my car failed automatically. It was a huge loss for me. Well, anyways, I would suggest you to do following things: Stop your car: The reason why I am telling you to stop your car is to avoid any huge damage in the engine. The engine might be really hot, so don’t keep driving. The more you will drive and more are the chances of huge damage in the engine system. Switch off A/C or heater: Switch off the AC or heater in your car immediately. Open the engine for a while: Open the engine hood, and keep it as it is. You may find smoke coming out of the radiator, let it come out. Don’t open the radiator cap: When the engine is overheated, the radiator cap burns like anything. So don’t even try to open the radiator cap. You may burn yourself, and also your car may get some serious damage. Check for leaks: Engine overheating is mainly because of coolant leak or oil leak. You need to scan the engine parts like water pump, radiator, hoses and belts, and check if you realize any leak in there. Leaks can be bad, because it damages the engine like crazy. And especially if its internal leaking of coolant. Call the recovery: If you are on the middle of the road, call the recovery to toe your car to the service center. Trust me; temperature warning light is not good. Take care of it. And don’t try to touch anything in the engine; you may end up burning your hand.

  14. Hey people. How can I check if the gasoline in my car has gone bad? And will it affect the performance of my car?
  15. Before installing the new fuel tank, empty the gas from the old tank first. Look for the drain cock on the fuel tank. Open it and the gas will come out properly. Where is it located, if you ask, it is at the lowest point of the tank. Keep the gas can aside in which you pour the gas. You will need that to put it in the new fuel tank. Now remove the fuel lines connecting to the fuel tank. One will be fuel supply line going towards the engine and second will be fuel tube at the gas fill point. Detach them. Now remove all the nuts connected to the fuel tank which will be connecting rear beams to the tank. You can remove that putting a jack stand. Also remove the metal straps connecting the fuel tank by loosening their nuts first. The fuel tank will automatically drop down. But carry the fuel tank properly so that it doesn’t damage any other auto parts. Now to install the new fuel tank, check for the specification of the fuel tan k for your car in the car manual. Buy the specified fuel tank only. You have to install the new tank the same way to you removed the old tank. You can fill the new tank with the gas you poured out from the old tank. But before pouring it in, make sure the gas is fine and can be used in the new tank. If you see the gas changing color to brown or black, it means you need to change it. If the gas is still transparent, then it’s good to use! But if this is your first DIY, it’s better if you do this under the guidance of an expert, Otherwise you may mess up the whole thing

  22. You will notice sudden vibration or shake because of the imbalanced wheel. The vibration increases with the acceleration. The more you accelerate the car, more is the vibration. Also, if you are facing tyre imbalance in your car, don't waste your time and take your car to the service station. If you are driving your car in this state, it is not only dangerous for you, but other car on the road as well.
  23. Most of the drivers think that replacing the shocks and struts helps in improving the ride control and handling. But its not actually that. The condition of struts and shocks has nothing to do with the ride safety.
  24. Hey Everyone. I have Chev Aveo and suddenly the electronic instrument panel of my car is acting weird and showing broken codes. What is the possible reason about the same?
  25. It's a very obvious question, wheel alignment is mandatory for any car. Other than wobbling, if one does not get their wheel aligned then also the car tyres worn out very easily.
