  1. Check attached fuelly screenshot showing real user average count. Hope this helps.
  2. Well Honda Civic average mileage is about 7 L/100, I am refering this from real user's usage average count.
  3. Yup the right word is O-ring for that, washer is basically metal ones. Glad you fix it by yourself and save some bucks. cheers.
  4. This leak could be due to old and worn out washer, just a quick diy solution to change 2 dirham washer.
  5. Mustang is one hell of a ride since 50 years and it only used to come in V8 uptill 2010. So if you want a real Mustang and not a miniature then opt only for V8 and not V6. Horsepower is not everything, but handling, sound, comfort, response and fuel mileage of V8 is much better than V6. So don't confuse yourself for option that does not exist for real Mustang boys. For GCC and US specs I feel GCC is better and safer, but to be honest I have never tried US specs and I can't comment 100% on that part.
  6. When the airbag sensor does needs replacement?
  7. Basically if you compare the return and return less fuel injection system, the return less fuel injection system manages the fuel pressure works on the constant pressure. The regulator operates at the single and static fuel pressure in the return less fuel system.
  8. Ahaan. This is something really new to me. Even I use to get the filter changed after 30,000 kms. But it seems its not needed. Will surely keep this in mind. Thank you Mr. Salman for sharing. I am sure many people are doing the same thing as me.
  9. Hey guys. Can anyine tell me what are EGR trouble codes?
  10. How can judge if the car tires are expired?
  11. What are the top most Sedan segment cars recommended world wide?
  12. Dude you are not allowed to. There is a big fine for the same. Abu Dhabi is a very clean city and there are car wash services everywhere. So you can't do it on your own. If municipality or police catch you, you will be given a fine and warning too. So if your are planning to do car wash, then don't.
  13. See every car has a specific range of oil viscosity which is best suited for that specific car model. If in case you put oil in your car with a different viscosity as required, it affects the engine badly which can result into leaking of oil and ruining your complete car engine. The oil viscosity required for your car is always guided by your dealer, workshop and also mentioned in your car guide book.
  14. There are many reasons for fuel consumption in a car. I can explain you few: >Oxygen Sensor: When the oxygen sensor becomes sluggish, it affects the fuel economy of the car. > Coolant sensor: When the coolant sensor becomes defective or inaccurate, the circulation of the coolant is irregular in the engine. The fuel mixture will not remain rich and it will waste the extra fuel and the fuel consumption will be very high. > Engine Thermostat: Defective thermostat results into high fuel consumption. > > Engine Misfiring: Engine misfiring waste a lot of fuel. > Fuel Injectors: When fuel injectors are dirty it results into low fuel economy. > Oil viscosity: if the viscosity of the oil is not as per requirement of the car, that also leads to poor fule economy. All these things affect the fuel consumption.
  15. How will i know if the engine air temperature sensor is working fine or failing by any chance?
  16. Internal coolant leaking is actually bad for any engine. Why if you ask? It’s because it’s inside the engine and you cannot see it. It damages the engine for inside and do don’t even know. And guess what? Repairing the internal coolant leak is actually an expensive job. There are few engine parts that are affected badly because of internal coolant leak: Head Gasket: If the head gasket is gone bad, then the coolant leak goes inside the engine into a cylinder/crankcase. So if there is internal leaking in the head gasket, it spoils the motor oil, spark plugs and bearings. If the leak is slight and not too bad, I suppose the sealer can work. But ultimately, one needs to replace the head gasket in near future. Blocked Engine: If the engine is blocked, the leak becomes really severe. If there is a crack in the cooling jacket, the coolant will leak into the engine and the cylinder head easily. This damages the pistons, rings catalytic converter and also the oxygen sensor. I faced this kind of the leak before. And it was so severe that the engine couldn’t crack when I tried starting my car. The only way to diagnose the internal coolant leak is by pressure testing or by using a block checker. It helps in popping out the coolant on the top in order to know where exactly the leak is. For pressure testing, one can use the Pressure test kit which is easy to use and quick to judge the leak. But believe me; internal coolant leak is really bad. And generally the answer to repair such a leak is replacing the engine part which is gonna cost you lot of money. To avoid that, it’s really important to have a keen check on the coolant level always. So if you know the level is gone down, you can quickly diagnose the leak and seal it before it’s too late.
  17. The manual belt fan consumes lot of horsepower. So the fuel ecnomy goes down andyou can hear the fan noise in the manual belt fan. On the other hand, the electric cooling fan is more powerful and helps in imporving the horse power and fuel economy. You dont generally hear fan noise in the electric cooling fan.
  18. Well I would like to discuss following things: Battery: Always take complete care of the battery. Don’t think that battery for forever, it needs to proper maintenance as well. Always make sure that your car battery is charging properly and there is no corrosion. Oil change: Always change oil in the engine after every 3,000 miles. Regular servicing: Don’t miss any servicing of your car. The time you miss it, the chances of having troublesome engine increases. Your car is properly maintained when you give it for regular servicing. Take it Easy: Avoid rash driving on the road. That will help in maintaining your tires. More you do rash driving or off road driving, the wearing of tires is quick. Fluid Levels: Sometimes the fluid levels goes down because of evaporation, so always have a keen check on all the fluid levels. If you realize that the fluid level has gone rapidly down, then it can be because of some leak. At that point of time, take your car back to the dealer. Fuel: Always maintain fuel in your car, to avoid poor consumption. Don’t Drag: If you think your car is really old, I mean more than 7-8 years, try to sell it off to avoid major replacements in your car. Warning Lights: Don’t ignore any warning light if it pops up on the dash. Some people just came those warning very lightly, and end up paying a huge cost of replacement which was the after impact of the warning light. Brakes: Brake job is really important in a car. Don’t think that you don’t have to replace brake pads or drums. They need to replace regularly. So try not to avoid any noise as well coming from the brake. All I can remember is this. Please add if someone has something additional to post.
  19. Electric Cooling fan these days is replacing belt driven fans which involves manual mechanism. If you have eletric cooling fan in a car, it helps in reducing the heat in the engine if incase your engine is overheated beause of any leak or if the A/C in the car has been failed.
  20. ts an Oxygen sensor code, which detects that the circuit of heater control system is low.
  21. Can anyone tell me how to scan for tire wear? I mean I cannot really judge if there is any wear/tear on a tire.
  22. There is a coolant leak in the freeze plug of my Mercedes. Can anyone tell me if I can fix it myself? How?
  23. On the contrary, i would say that not even 8 years. May be 5 years max.
