  1. Well, It really depends on what is considered local or able to ship to your area, but I've tended to get my rims directly from the manufacturer to cut out the middle man. I've had great success ordering from RAYS and Spoon, but really decide on a style before you go looking! You don't want to be locking yourself into something that you do not totally desire!
  2. I like to make sure the oil level is about three quarters full when cold so that when it heats up it expands to nearly top level. It doesn't matter how frequently you add, unless it's obviously leaking, although Hondas will burn a bit of oil with hard use. Just make sure it never gets dangerously close to the bottom nick on the dipstick and you should be fine! Good Luck!
  3. Which gasket? That's pretty early for a head gasket to go
  4. Have you found any local dealers to see if there is anything in your price range??
  5. Where have you been looking? Have you been on s2ki? They have an excellent classifieds section!
  6. My 2001 Honda Spoon S2000 comments welcome
  7. I put my s2000 in a ditch because I chose to drive it on the highway on bald tires in poor weather! Everything was okay though, but I was really rattled!
  8. Have you thought about painting your stocks? I don't mind the look and it's cheap and easy!
  9. What does your current setup look like??
  10. Because I fell in love with the s2000 after co driving one at a local track! Form < Function!
  11. Are you idling with the motor on? Whereabouts does the humming come from?
  12. Nice! I'm a fan I've seen a lot of colors look really good on white, but I think bronze would be one of my favorites. Its sharp, but not too eyecatching
  13. Well, it's off the rear so as long as it holds I should be good. I put them on for now, but i'm making sure I park the car until the replacements come in... I ordered the Wicked Tuning adjustable replacements!
  14. Sourcing a junk yarded or written off s2000 would be a cheaper alternative than from the dealer if you need the motors or trim pieces!
  15. I'm pumped to find out as well! What color is your FD1??
  16. Nice! I'm a big fan of CE28s I have a similar set of the Spoon edition CR93s in blue The works are also really good bang for buck if you don't want to overpay.
  17. What brands and styles have you been looking into??
  18. Hey! I recently removed my rear toe rods on my 2001 S2000. In doing so, I ripped the boot covering the end of the bearing which attaches to the hub. Is it safe to re use these? Even if just for a short period of time. I need to use them for a short period of time. I have attached a picture. Anybody reused something like this? Thanks for your time, Bill
  19. More importantly make sure that you purchase the right sized tires for the new rims! If they are an overall larger diameter than stock (tire and rim together) they may throw off your speedometer as well! Make sure you go with recommended sizes.
  20. Old topic, but some useful information I have is that you can reset your power windows, with ignition on. Open the window and keep the button depressed a few seconds. You should hear a click. Lower window, holding the button up beyond the actual closing. A few seconds until you hear a click. This should reset the motor and will also do a better job of syncing your windows to the button which lowers the convertible top!
