Sand in air filter neck near throttle body, the main reason is Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) pipe, either clogged or worn out. Clean air filter neck + throttle body while changing PCV valve and breather pipe that goes into air filter neck. Also note, in some cars (like mine) there is an additional soft rubber sleeve over the pipe to prevent wetness and attract more sand seeping from that area.

Good point, I must have assumed that. But surely 10 Watt drained even bigger battery pretty quickly if you speak a lot.

Another small thing to add, ppl buying 10 watts radios thinking awesome reach and crisp comms during drive, have to bear that with a bigger radius, you will be inviting bigger chatter as well. I bought Kangda thinking the same, especially to see improvement for long convoys and realize I can hear the whole village or Emirate, so now I use the setting for 5 watts, which is plenty for a single convoy.

It's an interesting topic for discussion among Radio Experts like @Frederic Mostly I use Channel 8 in Dubai and Channel 3 or 8 in Sharjah - to stay away from farm boys and other off-road convoys chatter.

Once you decide to join Team Carnity to excel further with your off-roading, people, and commanding skills, you will be extensively trained by the whole Team Carnity from Expert - Marshal - Crew at various stages by supporting different levels drives. Activities for Support Team Members Support different Marshals and Crew at Newbie level drives to demonstrate: Your ability and willingness to support new offroaders. Ability to gain control of commanding situations. And clear communication skills to help manage the convoy. Possible progress toward becoming an Advisor Once you have proved to be a regular Supporting Team member and have supported different trip leads on several Newbie and Fewbie drives, we will gather your periodic feedback. Based on this feedback and reviews you might receive an invitation to become a Carnity Advisor for further advancement within our community. You will also need to have completed a minimum of 5 Intermediate Level drives, and be a regular club member (minimum supporting 6 Newbie or Fewbie drives per quarter) to become eligible. Hope you've not had a huge jump in the desert, small situational ones are fine. If it's an accident, like a huge jump that caused the crack, replacing the OEM will be fine. If it's not an accident, then upgrading to performance arms will be better for regular off-roading.
