LS400 is a bomb proof and piece of gold, you can never go wrong with it. Boys from northern emirates swears by it and keep putting endless kms. Seeing so many die hard fan and enthusiasts of that model i can say that there is something wow in that car. Well, stay away from US spec go for GCC specs aka khaleeji specs only. Secondly though you are new driver so get the car fully check before putting money on table and negotiate wisely if anything needed to be fixed. Go for less kms as possible even if you have to choose little expensive (5-10%) cost more over high mileage, as in car everything runs around the km it is driven. Have fun if you buy one.

I keep 5 dhs fairy dishwash liquid and put few drops on every fill up of washer water, works like a charm and small bottle can sit in glove box comfortably. On the other hand similar stuff Lexus also sell for 24 dhs (if i am not wrong) but in red color reading windshield washer fluid, i tried that once long back and that's how i got this idea to switch to fairy. lol.

I think what adnan pointed is to check the accelerator cable or spring that may be making that ping noise, as Lexus cabin is so quite and in low revs you can hear everything than in Hi-revs.

i had a similar flickering of the temperature gauge so i changed the sensor

on highway speed that is 110+ there is a very slight flickering of temp i have noticed but that i not affecting anything else in the car. should i be getting panicked or should i take it easy?
