Arent there more then 1 O2 sensor?

it is best to change as it can be a safety problem.

the head gasket has to be changed.

There maybe blocking in the exhaust system.

Check the thermostat, may be its stuck open or close in one position.

Its near the engine crank accessible from down.

Check the window fuse it must be gone. If hearing a humming of motor then the window has problem and it need to open the door from inside to see and fix it.

If no problem, dont bother it must be some relay or connectors. Still concern show to mechanic who can hear and point exact reason, as in forum we cant understand what popping noise you have.
