Wow, that surely sounds crazy mate when you say that Habtoor have no idea on this....! This seems bummer and they like to ignore until it bails an expensive repair. My advise is get the gear oil and filter change as soon as possible and then drive again for few days and see if this dopp noise and feel goes away. If it doesn't then immediately show to some professional gear building guys. I know ZF in awir area on ras al khor road, got my american car gear rebuild few years back and they are awesome. You can also try Dexol, as they are also good in gear rebuilding.
