Congratulations @Emanuel. Look forward to being in more drives with you. -
Hi @Giacomo @Victor Socaciu @Fares Adel @nithish468 looks like we are going to have a short convoy which means we can do a bit more exploration in the night wilderness. Brace yourself for a lot of fun and excitement. We shall be using Carnity Channel 3 (446.056) for this drive. Convoy numbering would be decided at the meeting point. @TIMMY you are on the manage tab. Are you joining this drive? If so, will shift you to the going tab.

DRIVE DESCRIPTION With the summer in full bloom, one of the best times to enjoy the UAE wilderness is at night. Driving at night brings a different set of challenges. While the pace would be lower compared to the day, the reduced visibility increases the level of the game. This time we would be heading to Little Liwa or Sweihan where we will be presented with some of the finest terrain that UAE has to offer. Its not mandatory to have offroad lights for this drive. We request every member that joins this drive to go through the below information and strictly follow these guidelines, etiquettes and responsibilities. If it's a personal vehicle, I would get them passed in UAQ Shamil. They don't bother as long as the engine, gear and chassis is in place. Rest don't matter. 😅

Overheating Engine while not moving
Srikumar replied to Ziad's topic in Mitsubishi Pajero Forum in UAE
Is your clutch fan functioning like it's supposed to? Normally when the engine temperature goes up the fan speed needs to increase to compensate for the lack of natural air flow. One easy way to check is when the engine is cold to rotate the fan. If it rotates smoothly, that means the fan needs to be replaced. A good condition clutch fan will have rotational resistance when engine is cold -
Pajero occasional noise and vibration
Srikumar replied to rroker's topic in Mitsubishi Pajero Forum in UAE
The noise feels like a rubbing noise or from the wheel bearing. Just check if the mud guards are not scrapping the tyre especially in the front. Do you have a skid plate for the front bumper? Reason I am asking is because the Pajero front bumper without a skid plate does tend to bend inside after a couple of off-road drives. See if you can get someone to sit with you and try to find out from which side of the car the noise is coming from. That might help to identify if it's a wheel bearing issue -

2019 Jeep Wrangler - Front Propeller Shaft Replacement
Srikumar replied to Gary F's topic in Jeep Wrangler Forum in UAE
What is the lift on your vehicle? Typically the drive shafts can tolerate a bit of lift, like in my XJ I have a 2.5 inch lift and the drive shaft has been working fine for the last 6 years. But I did drop my TC a bit a to reduce the angle. -
This is the first time I have joined your drive @Davie Chase and it was an absolute blast, right from the briefing to the beautiful route that you took. Loved every bit of it. Everyone drove amazingly well especially in the middle session where the whole convoy was driving in a fluid motion. Look forward more such adventures.

Srikumar replied to Gaurav's topic in Off-Road Club's Announcements
Congratulations @Simon D. Well done buddy. -
Fantastic evening Fredy. Though I have not heard much of the Queen songs before, it was really great to have such a special screening. The atmosphere was even sweeter with all those who joined and danced yesterday night. Looking forward to the next Sonic night. P.S. @Frederic by then please learn a bit more on the history and steps of Kolaveri Di and Sheila Ki Jaawani.

DP1011 has been promoted to Expert level
Srikumar replied to Gaurav's topic in Off-Road Club's Announcements
Congratulations @DP1011. So when are we having the Paani Puri Drive? -
To reiterate what Fred says, driving on 4L for extended periods of time at high speeds around 60-70 kmph is definitely not advised from a car manufacturer itself. If you regularly drive at 4H, you will learn how to build the momentum to scale any level of dunes. It will be a different driving style compared to the guys driving at 4L but there is nothing that you can't achieve in 4H compared to 4L. If anything your planning and dune approach will be far better if you practice in 4H. Plus the clubs that strongly recommend driving in 4L are backed by garages that are more interested in repairing the car that you have damaged.

Mostly the tyres or the wheel bearing for the noise upfront. Regarding the clatter noise check your number plates bolts if they are loose.

Driving Jeep Wrangler in 4H over 100 km/h
Srikumar replied to Mahesh_'s topic in Jeep Wrangler Forum in UAE
It's definitely not OK to drive on tarmac in 4H Part time at 100km/h. The central differential gets locked 50:50 between the front and back. I also did that once mistakenly for about 80 km as the lever was stuck halfway before I realized the error. Lucky for me there was no damage. Hope the same goes for you as well.
