  1. I'm not a Z3 owner myself, but I just wanted to express my deepest admiration for this car If it weren't for my wife who insisted we get a car more fit for a family, I would have probably bought the Mercedes instead. I'm not sorry I got the Ford, I love it! I'm just saying, it was a second choice
  2. I know this topic is rather old, but what conclusion did you come to? Is the Sportage better than the qashqai or not? I did a test drive on many cars before deciding upon buying mine, but I haven't even thought of trying out these 2 !
  3. I would say, the first thing that comes to mind is money savings! And, sure, building up some experience when it comes to cars, like neelam said. But also, and this is most important to me, it's so much better to say "I did this myself!", it's something to be proud of, to be honest. Sure, it's not OK to do everything yourself, if there's a serious problem you should definitely see a mechanic!
  4. I have been a driver for so many years and I can honestly say I have never heard of a winter air kit... Having an air compressor in your trunk is always handy! But that works for both winter tires and normal tires, makes no difference whether you inflate your own tires in August or December.
  5. I was a tourist in the Dubai area several times and what I noticed right away are the speed cameras! There are radars everywhere! So, I'd say if you see there's a speed limit, you should definitely make sure you respect it.
  6. There are many vintage car lovers out there, but few of them prefer the Mercedes-Benz 300SL. At least that's my impression, I might be wrong. Anyway... Do you know this model, built in the 1950's, is still on the list if the fastest cars ever made? Just thought I'd share this with all you car enthusiasts! It's a 3.0 liter overhead cam straight 6 cylinder mated with 4 speed manual that can get close to 260 km/h. For its time, that was history being written right then and there!
  7. Safety! I have no doubt about that, don't even need to think twice before replying here! Safety always comes first, regardless of how fast the car can get to 100 mph, how the leather seats feel and so on.
  8. I am a much bigger fan of the Focus model, but I agree that the Fiesta is a better choice for women, it's smaller and easy to handle. I'd give it a 4 out of 5, if it helps. PS: I assume you're talking about the newer models, after 2012!
  9. Well, that's not right. Is your car new? It may be the new car smell mixed with who-knows-what. Or it's possible you have some spilled oil on your exhaust pipe. Happened to a friend of mine, no biggy. Take it to the shop though, and before you do, look for any loose wires near the engine, they could very well be the cause of the smell.
  10. Hi everyone I own a Ford Focus (second generation, it's from 2007) and recently, I keep hearing this ticking sound coming from under the hood. I went to the mechanics and they didn't find any problems so they say it's normal... well it's not normal to me! So, has anyone else ever encountered such a problem? It's like a weird fast ticking noise, it's driving me nuts!
