  1. vya.very well done @Brette. So proud of your first successful lead. Looking forward to supporting one of your drives soon.
  2. With the project Jeep Grand Cherokee now on sale and no calls received, my friend Mohit decided to take it for a spin to test things out. This is how he spent his weekend his words. “Trust a Jeep even if its old” So now as the Jeep was ready, I decided to venture out with it. (I am sure you must have read my earlier post of how I rebuilt it from being garbage) Started my day with driving towards Hatta dam, wanted to see it differently so decided to climb up the mountains in remote areas technically speaking instead of taking the exit to Hatta dam from the roundabout I decided to go straight towards the Oman border and took a deviation with no planning of streets. Came across the remote roads and starting driving towards a cliff and to my surprise without a hassle it climbed up all the gravels, stones of course I had to make sure that I keep it real slow. Spend some time and post enjoying the breakfast which ideally should be trekked and not driven (I managed to see the HATTA sign on mountain diagonally if that makes sense). I decided to drive towards Al Hefaiyah Mountain Conservation Centre I took a new remote route I felt, was beautiful but a slow drive with 60-80 kmph speed limits. Needless to mention that I was now tempted to keep driving on every opportunity of small cliffs with this WJ and I kept doing it. We did stop at Gardinia café and its quite nice on Kalba corniche. As the day was still bright I headed towards Korfakhan beach, well after the mountains it’s good to have some sea lol. Now, the drive back to Dubai after this amazing drive in just rebuilt WJ surprised me with fuel consumption, not to sound cheap but I missed a petrol station and car showed 0km to fuel empty near Sharjah university. Wondering how I survived without being stuck , I wondered same. On google I did manage to find a station but 3.2 kms and the car ran. This was risky but want to ask you guys that have u driven similarly for a few kms after gas tank shows 0km or was it my sheer luck. Overall, it was a great driving experience though it will never match the comfort of a X5 that I owned but must say wasn’t disappointed either at least it didn’t let me down climbing. Until, I right back for another adventure but with enough fuel. C ya.
  3. Congratulations Dr @Chaitanya D on your first official lead. So proud of the new leads coming forward and adding their flavour to Very diverse leads with one thing in common. Safety. Now I want to be on one of your drives.
  4. Thank you @Jihad Hachem for your kind words. But I test assure you All Marshal and crew selected believe in safety above all and you can drive at ease at any level knowing we are all here for you.
  5. All said and done, total respect to @Tbone for handling the situation in a calm manner and not loosing it. It's tough on your first drive buddy, but proud of you to have made it through with poise. It's always a good idea to start your first few leads in familiar areas. That way you can plan and enjoy newer or more challenging terrain without hitting the panic button if something goes wrong. Well done @Tbone
  6. I would like to thank @Srikumar for giving me the opportunity for joining @sertac drive and @sertac for accepting me to support his drive. @sertac was amazing with his choice of track and play areas. We all loved and enjoyed playing in bowls and our favorite long range dunes. @Luca Palanca Falsini seemed nervous at start to be second lead, but took over the role and was comfortable within no time. @Senthil Kumar was very comfortable at number 3 and seemed to be more comfortable with his ride than the first time I saw him. @Ajiesh George Kannankara was at his best and there were moments when I loved the way he trusts his ride and his ride doesn't seem to let him down. @siddharth maheshwari is one with his Wrangler. Sure Wranglers are capable, but it's still the person behind the wheel to be able to use these machines and he really is learning fast. @Nivin with his Xterra is very comfortable. Thank you for supporting the drive and it was a pleasure to have you on the drive. @Sajit Modiyil was amazing with his Xterra and I was pleasantly surprised to see how well he handles his ride. @Craig Finlayson bought the sunshine with his smile. Lovely to see him enjoy himself and play time was like another drive on Sheikh Zayed Road for him. Speaking about Shk Zayed Road @Jihad Hachem was another one to make the most difficult terrain look like highway. Thanks for carrying our most precious cargo, my only fan on the drive. @Mukundan Nair handled his Xterra with ease and was very patient and kept the convoy intact and moving at all times giving me the freedom to help with a few recoveries. All in all a wonderful drive with amazing people. Until next time stay safe and keep tuned for next week's drives being posted soon.

  14. Hey @GauravSoni. As a community we try to help with the solutions rather than advertising individual businesses. You can take the solution and ask your trusted garage to carry out that work.
  15. My friend who Recently saved this Jeep Grand Cherokee has now put it up for sale. He has plans on investing this money towards his next project to save another classic which would else be scrapped. Recently major service for including spark plugs, filters, oil change, belts, suspension bushes done .... 236k kms but quite reasonable for the age of car. Looking for an owner who is passionate about Jeeps as WJ's are meant to last if well taken care. Recently vehicle was registered, sale does not include the number plate as its special to him. AC has been serviced fully as well with new condenser. Price is kept low for avoiding extreme bargains Customer is a king and Kings dont bargain. Price is AD 10200 only . You can call Mohit or message him on +971 58 287 6375.

  20. Congratulations @Asif Hussain bhai. You made us wait a lot for your promotion, and in looking forward to squeeze every inch of you when I meet you again. Always had high regards for your contribution even in your toughest times in the back ground. Even if nobody ever saw you, but quietly you have continued to contribute to Carnity in unimaginable ways. No matter how thankless the job, but your hand was always up to assist in any way possible.
