  1. Trip Report – Bateen Liwa Drive The most awaited trip to Bateen Liwa is always a thrilling experience for me, and this time was no different. A big thanks to everyone who joined the drive, you all played a part in making this adventure possible. @Sam Selim was my second lead, giving precise corrections whenever he saw me struggling. You did an amazing job, taking every line flawlessly. @Shahid Mehmood @nithish468 you both drove fantastically and handled all the technical and massive dunes with confidence. @Zsolt @Andrew John Melvill @Glenn W fantastic job, whenever i got a chance to see your moves behind, you guys took the line precisely with ease, your moves were smooth, precise, and controlled. Keep it up! @Zed having you in the convoy is always a pleasure. As usual, you kept us entertained and smiling throughout the drive. And yes, this time you kept giving us small heart attacks every now and then while cracking your LC 😀 @Aser @ChrisW thank you for keeping a close watch at the back and ensuring no one was left behind. Fantastic job guys and giving the right directions to climb those extremely tricky soft and technical areas. It was an awesome drive and a great display of teamwork by everyone. For those who haven’t seen the dunes of Liwa, I would describe them in one word: SCARY. But there’s nothing to fear, if you drive sensibly and understand dune formations, you can scale even the massive ones. Massive pockets appear one after another, and it’s impossible to scale the dunes without going into those massive and scary pockets. But with team work we had, we handled it beautifully Well done, everyone.... Oh yeah, how can I forget the moment of the day, when I lost my phone in the dunes of Liwa. At one point I dropped it without realizing and kept driving. After covering a good distance, I suddenly noticed my phone was missing. We searched everywhere inside the car, outside car, and tried calling it, but no luck. Even Zeddy tried locating it from his device, but the last location didn’t show up.(Sorry Zed i gave you my old email ID thats why the new device wasn't appearing) Finally, we decided to backtrack and there it was, lying in the sand with a massive tyre print from Sam’s Rubicon on it. Luckily, it survived without a scratch and is still working fine. Once again, Well done everyone! See you again soon!

  8. I am truly honored to receive Senior Marshal rank, and I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to CARNITY and everyone who has been part of my journey. Since my very first drive, Carnity has been much more than just a club, it has been a family, a learning ground, and a place where the passion for off-roading comes alive. Every drive, every dune, and every recovery has taught me something new, and I continue to learn with every drive I go on. A special thanks to my mentors, I will name only 3 with whom I drove for very first time @Gaurav @Srikumar and @Rahimdad You taught me my first steps in the sand and guided me through my early drives. Your support, patience, and trust in giving me the opportunity to lead have laid the foundation for everything I have learned and achieved. And i also thanks to everyone I have driven with, past and present for sharing their experiences and friendship along the way. Here is a glimpse of my first memory - me in my Sport Trac, Sri in white Pajero, Rahimdad in Pathy, and Gaurav in his legendary Paro.
  9. Good thing you noted it today. No worries, we will definitely plan again soon. Looking forward to catching up next time.

  13. Trip Report What a fantastic adventure, huge thanks to each of you for making this drive possible and truly memorable. @Marek As second lead, you were rock solid as always. Quickly adjusting especially when i see obstacle unexpectedly. You handle your 4runner like a pro and really it does wonders at sticky situation whenever you are in trouble. You can only explain us what happened to you in that gully and how you recovered from there. @Jessica Lambert I hope your passenger enjoyed the bumpy morning as much fun as the rest of us had. @Sandeep N Great driving with you for the first time! I hope you enjoyed the lines I picked.. you handled the technical sections like a pro. Looking forward to many more drives together. @Beide Worku Hats off to you for being a perfect sweep. Always keeping an eye on the rear and ensuring no one was left behind, much appreciated your support. The area we explored is a “jungle in the desert” driving in such area has its own thrill with plenty of challenges, tricky navigation. This route truly tested our dune reading, control, and navigation skills and I couldn’t have asked for a better small convoy of 5 to tackle it with. And finishing the drive with a 25 km in full BAJA style was the perfect finish. See you all on the next adventure! Special thanks to @Jessica Lambert and @Beide Worku passengers for joining the drive and being part of the fun.
