Shaheen Sand Tyres, without a doubt, the best tyres I've used for sand. Also very safe as they are steel belted radials unlike the 900s, which also don't develop flat spots when parked overnight and need to be warmed up for a while. Also very very smooth on road and not at as dangerous people make them out to be during the two days it rains here. Only ever set of tyres I bought new, twice. One for my Land Cruiser which served double duty on safaris everyday and my Discovery which did some weekend warrior-ing but mostly used as a daily driver. Also they are manufactured in Japan at the same plant that makes Dunlops so you know they are reliable unlike 900s mostly made in Thailand. Also the only tyre Ive seen with a temperature rating of AA. When I last got them they were 320 a piece. You can buy directly from the sole dealer in Rashidiya.

There are also Dunlop Grand Trek Sand Tyres. Don't confuse them with regular Grandtreks, which are shyte, These have a similar thread to The Shaheens and 900s. My Friend had them on his Jeep Craprokee and he liked them. Also rare as rocking horse shit, impossible to find since almost no one stocks them, we were only able to source a set of new ones in Madam.

LTXs I won't mention as they are nearly 1000 a piece now.

Sure Mohd, call me tomorrow any time - 050 5258706.

Last time I got the visa on arrival and it was bit time consuming, I am thinking of doing it in advance this time so let's find out what are the procedure and documentation required.

Everyone else, please decide and finalize your 100% decision by 12th Aug latest, so that we can all book rooms in same hotel. Check available hotels in expedia, booking and trivago and list your preferences based on star vs pricing.

Now Oman Visa can be applied online form below link , you have to register and then you can apply on line

    https://www.rop.gov.om/visa/english/onlineservices_visaapplication_main.aspx?AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1

I suggest all members planning for this trip can apply online and avoid ques at border

Check the first pic look similar to your age Pajero? As I am not sure if its exact 2008 owners manual or not. Hope it helps.

Best is go to Habtoor with car registration card and ask for "Genuine MITSUBISHI Power Steering Fluid".

    http://www.mitsubishi-motors.bg/uploads/files/8_file.pdf

Go to refill capacities Page 9-16

    Fluid type
Use “Genuine MITSUBISHI Power Steering Fluid”
    or “ATF DEXRON III/DEXRON II”.

Custom made you can try in Damascus Street, Dubai, there's about 4-6 shops if your heading to Sharjah it was on the Right Side (from Spinneys/ Snow white Garments till next Traffic Signal) they're doing a custom seat cover & floor mats which as per texture & quality that might fit on your budget but as Danny said it will cost you 600-800 or till 1000 I can say, which I guess more worth to have than the ready made which cost you around 600.

yes , it better to pay a bit more than readymade one cause as i have heard ready made one wear out very quickly

I will check those shops you have mentioned and will update

How can you fit in cheap and good in one sentence......? If looking for custom made it will be expensive at least in range 600-800, ready-made will be cheaper in range of 200-300 from deira naif shops. They do both level of jobs. In sharjah, I heard opp sahara mall car market, but dont know anyone there.

I have been to naif but most of them don't don't have ready made covers for PAJ

What do you mean by "has gone bad"?

The previous owner has changed gasket and instead of using silicon they used Fevistick to stick it , when we tried to change the gasket was stuck and we were forced to remove it with force, so the lining and gaps has widen

Now there is very very minor leak form side walls and some leakage in spark plugs
