  2. Hi @Shyam Karat We will make sure that in a matter of a few weeks you will become a confident offroader with your JK ! No worries ! See you on Friday ! Make sure to watch the Newbie Briefing video, this will give you a massive headstart.
  3. @Desert Dweller thanks for clicking the emoji, but you should open the COVID19 topic and click over there on the emoji, not in this post itself. Thanks
  4. @asifk @Desert Dweller @Nacho please acknowledge the COVID19 precautions by clicking on the "totally agree" emoji in the COVID19 precautions topic below: As you can see, we have 117 members that have agreed so far. You only need to do this once as it will be saved.
  5. Dear @Shyam Karat @Piotr Kolodziej @Krishnakumar @Alexander Alcala @Abdallah Rachidi Alaoui First of all, i wish you a warm welcome to our Offroad Club. I am always delighted to be able to meet new members and hope we can learn from each other. Please send us a small introduction on who you are, which 4x4 you're bringing, and if the front and rear towpoints are available and in perfect condition. Please let us know if you have any prior offroading experience or not. @Haarun Baig thanks for your introduction ! @Baskaran P.R as per my information you have joined last week's absolute newbie drive already. That makes you a Newbie from now on and you can try to get a seat in one of the Newbie level drives this weekend. The Absolute Newbie drive is only to be done once, so i will need to remove your RSVP from this drive. With regards to gear and equipment, on an Absolute Newbie drive you should bring your own tyre deflator and pressure gauge. We can help you with deflating if you have not done this before. If you have a flag, radio, shovel, and compressor, please do bring it also. It will be a requirement from the second drive onwards. We've made a nice tutorial with lots of information on essential offroad gear (for every drive level): Please also take your time to go through the Absolute Newbie Briefing video we made:
  6. Welcome to the club @Haarun Baig ! Please try to bring a deflator and a pressure gauge, as you will need to deflate your tyres at the arrival point. Other items like a flag, radio, compressor, and shovel will be needed from a second drive onwards. But if you have them already please do bring them.
  7. Thanks @Syed Raza Hussain you did great on your first drive, so from now on you can continue to join Newbie level drives.
  8. Good question. I assume that the honeycomb chamber creates a kind of muffled noise.
  9. Pat yourself on the back. I’ve never seen a boat driving in the desert 😜 That mechanic should be sued for removing parts without your knowledge. I’d be going ballistic if someone did that. Is the Sharjah scrapyard an option maybe ? These things are probably mighty expensive. If the sound is your main concern, you can maybe approach a exhaust specialist and see what they recommend. Maybe a small additional muffler can do the trick.
  10. Totally agree. I recently replaced mine and the car became a lot more responsive on low throttle. Also injector cleaning is an important thing to check.
  11. Absolutely worth the drive, and fully agree with @Ale Vallecchi that this is a perfect training ground to become a more complete offroader. While this terrain looks easy at first sight, it will surprise you with its complexity and you will need to keep focused and be in complete control of the throttle pedal. Too much will make you hit stuff, not enough will get you stuck on the soft patches. For all who likes 'exploring' GO FOR IT !
  12. @Baskaran P.R @Rizwan Waheed @Syed Raza Hussain This Absolute Newbie level drive is ONLY for new joiners to the Carnity Offroad Club that have never driven with us before. Please sign out of this drive and select one of the newbie drives this weekend. You can post a message on the newbie drives to be put in the waiting list. Thanks !
  13. Congrats @Kalahari ! Looking forward to many drives soon where I can be supporting you !
  14. Congrats @Chaitanya D ! Your drive attendance over the last two months has been record breaking, to the point i even wonder if you actually live in a tent nearby our most taken tracks 😅 Well deserved buddy ! Be ready for the next set of challenges and have fun taking them on !
  15. Congrats @Vanessa8580 ! As we all have seen in the club, reaching this level has very little to do with fast pace driving or climbing Faya (which you have done anyways), but ALL about the community aspect of supporting the entire club which you have done enormously over the last months when the club has grown in this fast pace. The patience and maturity required to help out supporting on Absolute Newbie drives, the positive spirit and smile you bring to every drive, and the role model you are for aspiring Pajero LWB owners that see you effortlessly taking that Big Blue through the dunes have brought this promotion. Now the next challenges await. No doubt you will master them with the same approach !
  16. Congrats @Hennie Schoeman looks like that braai will need to be arranged soon ! 😅
