  1. Omg 😮 really ? I didn’t know 😂😂 yes front 242 was fantastic! Good to know there is a new wave / ebm lover on the forum 😉
  2. Die Antwoord ? South African township music ? The Graceland album by Paul Simon ?
  3. Qudra lake Gets really crowded at night. Bring your GPS because you can reallly get lost between the lakes with the car. Stay in the normal track road. A 2wd doesn’t need much to get stuck.
  4. Yes Sweden has quite some bands. As a teenager I had a pretty big crush on Neneh Cherry 😂
  5. Wasn’t vital signs also with Aamir Zaki ?
  6. Since living in the UAE and meeting so many people from different nationalities i have been on a quest to find out which music, band, or songs from your home-country you'd love to introduce to people that live here that don't know much about your country. I always believed music is a bridge to connect people and i regularly talk to my colleagues at work to try to find out what they were listening too when they were young and how this affected them. For example i was recently introduced to Aamir Zaki and i love it So in short; which bands or songs from your home-country would you like to introduce to us ? For me being Belgian: * TechnoTronic: Pump Up The Jam. Became a worldwide hit in 1988 * Two Man Sound: Disco Samba. Impossible to believe this was made by a Belgian. @Javier M you might know this song... * Confetti's : The Sound of C. During the New Beat period of 1988 (remember the smiley's) these guys made it big. * Deus: Suds and Soda: Best Belgian Alternative Band. * Toots Thielemans: Bluesette: Legendary Harmonica player.
  7. 32psi should be fine. Don’t worry about your spare tyre. The rubber might degrade a bit over time but if covered properly it will last longer.
  8. 13l is quite normal for a 4.0 V6. My 3.8 Pajero is guzzling around 14l per 100 km. To save a bit on fuel you can: 1) Drive smart: By "reading" the traffic properly you can anticipate and react smoothly. I see so many people revving up like crazy, and then breaking again 100 meters further on the speed bump. 2) Use Cruise Control whenever possible. 3) Keep your tyres properly inflated. 35psi and have a weekly check at the petrol pump or with your gauge if you have one. 4) Do not skip on proper maintenance. Get injectors cleaned and/or replaced whenever advised by your workshop.
  9. Yes, Motion-X is fantastic. I also installed the "Ardhi" App lately, but haven't explored the functionalities yet and it looks pretty quiet on the feed page.
  10. Won't make it unfortunately. I have my parents and son flying into DXB early morning from a night flight.
  11. Desertcart brings their stuff from Amazon but you'll pay a bit more. I order stuff there every now and then and never had issues.
  12. Amazon if you can ship it to UAE, otherwise pay a bit more and get it via Desertcart.ae https://www.desertcart.ae/search/prado die cast
  13. The old Pajero is a bit quirky and is not the best at anything, but then again it's cheap, reliable, and puts a smile on my face while driving it. I've driven many modern, premium cars, but i got annoyed at the smallest creaky noises from the dashboard or seats, while this one rattles on like a horse and carriage, but it never bothers me. The fact that i can do small upgrades and repairs by myself (old technology) also helps.
  14. Congrats on the new ride ! May it give you many miles of pleasure and very little headaches and back-aches
  15. When the moon and stars align.... This Fewbie drive was a great as every drive I have done with the Carnity family, but I was keen on exploring that “+” to see if my car and my confidence level had potential for growth. Turned out the old Pajero wanted to prove after all that it’s still potent and that boosted my confidence level. The positive feedback from the seniors along the drive also helped of course 😉. Thanks for the guidance, help, and camaraderie I always encounter and building this cornerstone of Carnity Off-road Club carefully honed by @Gaurav @Rahimdad @Srikumar @Emmanuel and all the newer members including myself that do our best to carry this forward. Thumbs up to my fellow fewbies and intermediates that joined yesterday 👍👍 @hossein sorry you had to cancel out. This drive was definitely more suited for drivers without passengers. I didn’t bring my son too because i wanted to remove my inner inhibitions and going more full out. See you on the next drives buddy !
