  3. That's a remnant of the old RSVP system. If we post an event without an RSVP limit, this option will appear.
  4. A bit inconvenient, but you can first open the Google Maps link, and copy the decimal coordinates (long click on them and copy to clipboard). Then open Waze and paste the decimal coordinates into the search field. But make sure to remove the brackets ()
  5. Hi @fj_cruiser It is not very clear to me what you are looking for. You want to listen to lectures and podcasts while driving without having to put it on high volume, correct ? In my opinion, the FJ cruiser having the aerodynamics of a cow, it will always be loud inside the cabin while driving, but there are are few options to reduce it: - Good quality highway tires. Michelin has some of the quietest tires. Heavy all terrain tires will be too noisy. - Cabin insulation. It is possible to insulate the cabin more with sound-deadening panels. This will surely help but is quite a bit of work. Some information can be found in below topics: if all above does not work, i suggest try using airpods or changing the car

  7. DRIVE DESCRIPTION In an attempt to find better off-roading pastures, we are heading to Al Hayer, an area often overlooked by off-roaders due to the vicinity to Sweihan. Expecting to find untouched dunes, but it is hard to tell if the vegetation will be an issue. Hopefully a great morning out with exploration-minded people MUST READ AND COMPLY Environmental Policy Off-road Flag Guideline Two Way Radio Guideline Off road Driving Etiquette's Emergency details for all off-roaders Off Road Driving - Roles & Responsibilities DRIVE DETAILS Level: Fewbie and above When: 16 March 2025 Meeting time: 07.00 AM (SHARP - Without any exceptions) Meeting Point: https://maps.app.goo.gl/aTs1HUh6yH9wBabL6 Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance. 8. RSVP IS NOW CLOSED @Ben Lee@Cyril de Masfrand@aston@juoffroad@Ana@Imran Asghar@Alex K@Paul Eldho@Kirill K@Zsolt@Kushal Thakkar@[email protected].@Suneedh Wrangler@Mei ling@Ishak Thank you all for signing up for this drive. Thanks to the great support we will be able to stretch the convoy a little bit. No doubt it will be big fun Some small pointers for tomorrow: 1) Please try to arrive by 6:45, so you have time to deflate, set up your flag, and pour yourself a cup of coffee if you like If you need help with deflating don't be afraid to ask. There will be supporting team members and myself walking around to assist you when needed. 2) We will be using Channel 4 on our walkie talkie. That is 446.081 Mhz. If you have any issues with setting up your radio, have a look at the drive topic here. We can also help out tomorrow if needed. 3) When you arrive, you can start deflating your tires to 14-15psi if you have HT (highway tires). In case of All Terrain (AT) tires you can deflate a bit further down to 12psi. See you all tomorrow morning !
  9. We can't recommend workshops here. But i would simply recommend getting the following checked on the first time you take it for maintenance. The Xterra is not a complicated car, so any decent mechanic should be able to verify the following: - Engine oil and filter - when was it last replaced ? - Air filter - Air intake hoses - no cracks or damage ? - Coolant level - Differential front and rear fluids. - Steering fluid level - Brake fluid level - Transmission oil - when was it last replaced ? - Transfer case oil - when was it last replaced ? - suspension, shocks, bushings, balljoints inspection - spark plugs - when were they last replaced ? - injectors - when were they last cleaned ? - Tires - still in acceptable condition for off-roading ? When we purchased our 2008 Xterra, we spent another 10-15k to get the car the way we wanted it (maintenance wise) because there was no service history at all and we did not want to take any risks.
  10. wind noise and creaks are normal on Xterras What you get in return is power and fun. Did you get the car inspected in a workshop already? This might avoid suprises like 4WD not engaging on the morning of your first drive
