  1. Thanks for informing @Yurybel. Wishing you both all the best and speedy recovery.
  2. RSVP IS NOW CLOSED @J-P L@Almoosawi@Soap@Herman G@khurram@saumik1989@Diego@fred_@Danie@Myrko@Alex M@Yurybel@Haneef Thayyil Thank you all for joining! With the help of our Support @Mark B and @Mike M. we are aiming for a smooth drive across Dubai and Abu-Dhabi. You can consider this drive to be a bit more scenic, and not a dune bashing style of drive. A few pointers: 1. Please arrive on time, preferably around 05.45AM so you have to deflate and set up the flag. Briefing will start on 06AM. 2. We will be using Channel 4: 446.081Mhz. Please make sure to bring your radio and flag. See you all tomorrow morning! Fred

  4. A nice morning out! Everyone made it on time, and after a short briefing we hit the dunes with a good pace over the various rolling dunes the area has to offer. With hardly any refusals and no stucks, we reached Pink Rock itself very quickly, and took our first break with the fantastic views it had to offer. I decided to head further south towards the various bigger dunes that lay on our way towards Big Red. As my trusty Trooper had been in the shop for 5 weeks, this drive was for me a bit of a shakedown and i had to keep a close watch to the engine temperatures. Luckily everything was fine. We did various climbs, loops, and sideys, and everyone managed brilliantly. While i was contemplating to head over to Big Red, @Vijaya Kumar Doppa his daughter was feeling unwell, probably from the rollercoaster effects passenger undergo on these kinds of drives. I hope she is feeling better now and can join us again in the future. We still had some time left while taking Vijaya to the exit, but i decided not to push our luck by heading towards Big Red, as i knew that area requires multiple high-powered climbs and the temperature was inching closer to 40 degrees now. We exited all together on a drive that was a bit shorter than my usual drives, but that also meant it was still doable to inflate, and perhaps some of us could go and enjoy a breakfast @vinayak n you were brilliant as second lead, always keeping enough distance and reacting quickly whenever i had to do little reroutes. @Ishak you had an easy job today, so you can save your energy for next week's leaders lead @J-P L was my original sweep, and i was sure you'd been fine sweeping us, but @Imteeaz was the second sweep today and it was a great sight today to see a Jimney and a Patrol closing our ranks like brothers in arms. 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 With the summer temperatures increasing we will need to be mindful of our cars, as the strain of climbing bigger dunes at +40C degrees is quite taxing on our cars. I've been in this hobby for 8 years now and learned when to push and when to let the car cool down. During both breaks we took, my engine temperature dropped from 96 quickly back to 88, and that helped a lot to tackle the last bigger dunes before we exited. I recommend everyone to keep a close watch on your engine and transmission temperatures coming summer, and if in doubt to get it checked out. See you all in the dunes again soon! 6. Drive Plan A drive aimed to explore a bit more the overlanding style of off-roading, covering quite some distance by using moderate sized dunes and existing trails. This is not a dune-bashing drive. We will start from the Faqa plains, meandering our way through the farm trails, and crossing the way into Abu Dhabi at the well-known Truck Road. From there we will head down south through Al Ajban, finally ending up in the North of Sweihan. We request every member who joins this drive to go through the information below and strictly follow these guidelines, etiquette, and responsibilities. 7. RSVP IS NOW CLOSED @vinayak n@Myrko@Lukas Lewis@Kirill K@[email protected].@Zsolt@JC_E@Yurybel@Vijaya Kumar Doppa@Carl Stanley@J-P L Thank you all for signing up! As you are probably well aware, the heat has started to kick in already, which means some precautions will be in place. 1) Please arrive by 5.45AM so you have time to deflate and set up your flag. I'd like to get the convoy moving by 6.10AM latest. Please be on time guys. 2) The aim is to have a decent paced drive and to cover quite some ground. That will surely help to keep the cars cooler. 3) Keep a close watch on your heat gauge throughout the drive. Do let us know immediately if you see any signs of overheating. 4) The overall terrain choice might be a bit altered to avoid constant pushing of the vehicles especially towards the end of the drive. We will be using Channel 4: 446.081Mhz as our radio channel to communicate during the drive. See you all tomorrow morning !
  8. Yes, go for 265/70/16. Perfect setup for your SWB Pajero. Bigger tire size might have rubbing inside the fenders with the original rims.
  9. Don't get HT tires (Highway). Get the AT tires (All Terrain). Yokohama Geolander G015 model is very well known and performs great on Pajero
  10. Let me bounce it back to you guys: Where can these be found ? There are 4-5 of them in the same area... GAME ON !
  11. I assume somewhere in Sweihan, but perhaps more up North (Nahel): https://maps.app.goo.gl/2ySTjgt1oPRP8sZS6 @DP1011 and me gave it the name: Hawk Tuah Bowl 😝
  12. @Emanuel behind that super calm demeanor there is a true leader. From the start you've been a team player and were always willing to help out. Even though you fast tracked your way in the White Rino (customization wise i mean 😁) you've done plenty of drives and your skills show for it. I have no doubt the Leaders Lead Sessions will be a delight for you, and i am very much looking forward to be your second lead soon! (Finally the role gets reversed). Yallah!
