  1. @shadow79, yes it is with auto fold with press of a button.
  2. @shadow79 any recommended workshop for this paint job? and any estimated time would they take?
  3. @shadow79, you are absolutely correct with the vital checks. I have actually made both checks already and there is no smoke in either case. I assume I got the oil level reduced bcoz of long duration i.e. 6 months use without a change.
  4. @shadow79 There is no smoke at all from the car. @Fuad, it might appear after completing half of rated oil mileage.
  5. The Castrol 5w-30 I tried was to be changed at 10K KMS but I found it decreasing oil level too. I am using Adnoc Voyager Silver Semi-Synthetic 10W/40 (a bit yellowish in color) in my vehicles since 2012 and don't have any complaints in any other car even if I hit a 100KM more than the scheduled mileage. So, I don't think changing oil to HONDA Engine Oil would make a big difference.
  6. Thank you guys; just to respond your queries that there is no leakage, I tried Castrol 5w-30 grade earlier but it got reduced too, oil reduces around more than half a liter. If it is normal in every other Honda, then it's fine - I can live with it as I don't face any other issue. I 'll take care of changing it a bit early.
  7. Dear Friends, Honda Accord 2012 is reducing engine oil - this is what I was told upon last oil change from Adnoc Lube Sharjah. I use "Adnoc Voyager Silver Semi-Synthetic 10W/40" which is rated to stay for 7000KM. My vehicle took around 6 months to make it to 7000KM after which I went for oil change. Additional FYI, that my vehicle recently passed RTA test and there is no smoke what-so-ever from the engine. Compared to Toyota Corolla 2009 (my last car), I also feel that my Accord 2012 is bit sluggish at start when take off at a signal but later it's good. And I heard from mechanics that initial run of HONDAs are always bit slower than TOYOTAs. Any recommendations on how to deal with this engine oil reduction?
  8. Any idea where from can we buy only the glass instead of whole mirror assembly?
  9. @shadow79 I heard this glass doesn't come separate; you have to buy the whole assembly with glass which is expensive - like around AED 850-900.
  10. its metallic dark grey color. @shadow79, is this cost of one mirror paint job?
  11. @shadow79, this means it is not recommended to remove the glass as shown in video. What is the alternate way to remove it?
  12. Friends, My 2012 Honda Accord's side view mirrors paint got ripped off in last 1 year. It's like the paint is getting torn apart in pieces due to driving air pressure. Any recommendations how to cover it up either with a redo of paint job or the car exterior paper sticker (like carbon black)? Please mention the cost estimations and if the job could be done on DIY basis?
  13. Means it's not only the water pump and timing belt; then it should be fine. I had the same work done for my Pajero 2012 at start of this year and it costed me almost similar that included Labor along with parts like spark plugs, timing belt, tensioner bearing, crank front seal, water pump, thermostat valve, fan belt, outer belt tensioner, outer belt idler bearing etc. Hope it helps!
  14. Hi @Sidshk, what is included in the quote of AED 3500/- (parts & labor)? At times, there are some other items which could you would prefer to change while almost half of your engine is opened; instead of a re-open later with the same expensive labor.
  15. I think Pajeros has some issue with the cooling system. I once put mine (2012 mode) on AUTO AC mode while I was idle/parked. And it stopped cooling the car at all. Mostly, AC guys says less cooling in cabin is either a matter of less gas or blocked AC filter.
  16. Guys count me in as another victim of Pajero's rear view mirror shake on driving side. @edouard your hard way of successfully stopping the rattles is what @Keithryan suggested through arabic video? If its different, please share the details.
  17. @shadow79 you are right about Toyota and Lexus. Even Hondas have both side UP+DOWN feature with a single button touch. For my Pajero, driver side glass goes DOWN with a single touch but doesn't come UP with a single touch. I have to keep the button upward until glass closes.
  18. Hi Everyone, I got a Gen-4 Pajero 2012 and its driving side glass doesn't go up with one touch like in any other car. I have to hold it upward until the glass goes all the way up. Is it a malfunction in my case or all Pajeros are like that?
  19. What I learnt till now is this dash rattling is common in Pajero on rough terrains and humps/jumps. This is because there is no metal/iron bracket support in 4th gen Pajero. I have seen on another forum, Some people in Cape Town made a iron bracket and install it via opening front end of dashboard and it reduces this rattling in rough roads. Not sure if someone does so in UAE too.
  20. Wao that's great To hear Vishnu. Hope 1155 covers cost of labour n parts both?
  21. Thanks @vishlad702 for the pop up. The dashboard noise is what I got since my purchase last October. I have read many forums and seen YouTube videosthat suggest that feeling road bumps and roughness is a matter with every Pajero. It makes rattling noise only on rough road. May be I feel it as I never drove SUV before n have other car as Accord which is quiet n smooth. Is this garage owned by Mr. Mohsin as adcisedbby @Barry from where you got the work done?
  22. Hi @vishlad702 any update how was your overall experience of replacing timing belt and what other stuff did you change. I would also request to tell us the total cost involved in this maintenance.
  23. Thanks @Barry for your recommendations. So, should I go for Mitsubishi or Gates timing belt and where can I get it in Sharjah? Also, I need your recommendations of some garage in Sharjah for this work in AED 1.5-2K please. Any advise on who can help me in Sharjah/Dubai to fix dashboard noise. It doesn't produce any noise on smooth roads but only while moving over humps or think yellow lines found mostly on road turns in Dubai. Does anyone fix the metal brackets here?
