ANNOUNCEMENT Safety recall campaign statement: Seat belt assembly replacement for certain 2017 model year Jaguar vehicles In coordination with the Ministry of Economy - Consumer Protection Department and in line with its commitment to conduct an on-going review of all products in the UAE to provide the consumer with the required protection, Al Tayer Motors, the local importer - dealer of Jaguar vehicles in the UAE, and Premier Motors the official dealer for Jaguar vehicles in Abu Dhabi, announce a safety recall campaign for certain 2017 model year (MY) Jaguar vehicles, manufactured in the UK, for seat belt assembly replacement A concern has been identified with a small number of 2017 MY Jaguar XE and F-Type vehicles. Investigations have identified that the Autoliv Al2 initiator, used in the manufacture of Autoliv seat belt pre-tensioners supplied to Jaguar Land Rover Limited have been incorrectly manufactured and may not properly function leading to no activation of a pre-tensioner. In the event of a crash of sufficient severity, the front seatbelt pre-tensioner may fail to operate when required. ANNOUNCEMENT Safety recall campaign statement: Replacement of front lower control arm to knuckle joint for certain 2016 - 2017 model year Range Rover Evoque vehicles In coordination with the Ministry of Economy - Consumer Protection Department and in line with its commitment to conduct an on-going review of all products in the UAE to provide the consumer with the required protection, Al Tayer Motors, the local importer - dealer of Land Rover vehicles in the UAE, and Premier Motors the official dealer for Land Rover vehicles in Abu Dhabi, announce a safety recall campaign for certain 2016 - 2017 model year (MY) Range Rover Evoque vehicles, manufactured in the UK, to replace the front lower control arm to knuckle joint. A concern has been identified with a small number of Range Rover Evoque 2016 and 2017 MY vehicles. Investigations have identified that the front lower control arm to knuckle joint fixings have received more than two torque and angle applications during assembly, such that the fixing can yield so resulting in premature fatigue failure and possible separation of the joint Where joint failure is imminent, drivers may report a knocking noise from the front of the vehicle. Where the fixing has failed, and joint separation occurred, vehicle stability and steering control will be compromised. The driver and driver assistance systems may not be able to control the vehicle leading to an increased risk of a crash. A total of 14 vehicles in the Range Rover Evoque VIN range SALVA2AN5GH149193 to SALVA2BN1HH176858 are estimated to be affected in the UAE. ANNOUNCEMENT Recall Campaign for Volvo S60 and Volvo V60 imported to the UAE In coordination with the Ministry of Economy — Department of Consumer Protection, and in line with the keenness of the Ministry of Economy to conduct an ongoing review of all the products in the UAE and provide the customer with the required protection, Trading Enterprises Volvo in the UAE announces a recall campaign for the following vehicles: Volvo S60 and V60 Model Years 2011-2017 Volvo Cars investigations have identified that the spring attachment point, holding the door latch spring in place, may break, preventing the latch from keeping the door in a closed position. If this condition would occur, it could result in an unlatched door bouncing back when attempting to close it. In most cases, the open door warning light will illuminate in the Driver Information Module (DIM). However, if the driver/ passenger does not notice that the door is unlatched, it may open while the vehicle is in motion. The remedy will be to replace the locking mechanism in both the front and rear side doors. The decision has been taken jointly with Volvo Cars Corporation and the Ministry of Economy — Department of Consumer Protection to launch a recall campaign to carry out the inspection and perform the repair on the affected vehicles which are imported to the UAE. ANNOUNCEMENT Safety Recall Campaign for Suzuki — Kizashi & SX4 2.0 in UAE In co-ordination with Ministry of Economy —Department of Consumer Protection, and in line with the objectives of the Ministry of Economy to conduct an ongoing review of all products in the UAE and provide the consumer with the required protection. Al Rostamani Trading Co sole authorized distributor of Suzuki in UAE announces Safety Recall Campaign for Suzuki KIZAS1-11 2010-2012 YM and Suzuki SX4 2.0 2010-2012 YM. Due to an improper structure for the shift lock mechanism of the shift select lever, the mechanism might be broken when the lever is operated with excessive force to move it from parking range to other range without depressing the brake pedal. Consequently the lever could be pulled from parking range to other range without depressing the brake pedal. Decision has been taken jointly with Suzuki Motor Corporation and the Ministry of Economy — Department of Consumer Protection, to launch a Safety Recall Campaign to carry out the inspection of those vehicles affected in the UAE and have it replaced with the modified Part. ANNOUNCEMENT Recall for A/GLA/CLA-Class (176/156/117 platform) Model Year 2017 Mix ratio airbag igniters In coordination with the Ministry of Economy - Department of Consumer Protection, and in line with the keenness of the Ministry of Economy to conduct an ongoing review of all the products in the UAE and provide the customer with the required protection, Gargash Enterprises and Emirates Motor Company announce that a recall for A/GLA/CLA-Class (176/156/117 platform) will begin in near future. Concrete dates are still under final clarification. Daimler AG ('DAG') has become aware that on certain A/GLA/CLA-Class (176/156/117 platform) the propellant mix ratio in certain airbag igniters might not meet the specification. Thus, in case of a crash the igniters might not deploy in situations where the passenger or the pelvis airbag is activated. The announcement has been aligned jointly with Gargash Enterprises and Emirates Motor Company and the Ministry of Economy - Department of Consumer Protection to inform customers about the launch of an inspection of the affected vehicles which are imported in UAE. Daimler AG (`DAG') has become aware that certain E-Class (213 platform) with weight sensing system, the seat occupancy detection control unit on the passenger side might be incorrectly installed. This could lead to a kinked pressure hose, should the seat be in the vicinity of the rearmost and lowest position. ANNOUNCEMENT Safety recall campaign statement: Upgrade of EVAP system For certain 2011 — 2016 model year Lamborghini Aventador vehicles In coordination with the Ministry of Economy— Consumer Protection Department and in line with its commitment to conduct an on-going review of all products in the UAE to provide the consumer with the required protection, Al Jaziri Motors, the local Importer — dealer of Lamborghini vehicles in the UAE, is announcing a safety recall campaign for certain 2011 — 2016 model year (MY) Lamborghini Aventador vehicles, manufactured in Italy, for the purpose of upgrading the EVAP system. An area of concern had been identified with a small number of Lamborghini Aventador 2011 - 2016 MY vehicles. Invistigations have determined that in case of a fuel tank being excessively overfilled and undergoing specific handling conditions, liquid fuel could reach the carbon canister and purge valves, contributing to the emissions of untreated fuel vapors. Such improperly treated fuel vapors combined with particular maneuvers, like engine over revving from idle, could cause contact with other hot gasses. For safety reasons, these vehicles must therefore be upgraded with the latest parts to eliminate such risks. ANNOUNCEMENT Recall for 2017 Volkswagen Golf In coordination with the UAE Ministry of Economy —Department of Consumer Protection, and in line with the directives of the Ministry of Economy, Volkswagen AG has announced a Service Campaign for 28 vehicles from model-year 2017 will begin immediately. Al Nabooda Automobiles and Ali & Sons Motors Co. L.L.0 the exclusive distributors of Volkswagen in the United Arab Emirates, released the following statement "Volkswagen AG has determined that on a very small number of vehicles from model-year 2017 it is possible that the igniting materials of some driver and passenger airbag units or of some seatbelt tensioners, may be defective.This is due to deviations in the mixture ratio of the igniting material. All affected vehicles will require examination and repair where necessary". All repairs for this issue will be free of charge. Al Rostamani Trading Co sole authorized distributor of Suzuki in UAE announces Recall Campaign for Suzuki Celerio (2009-2010 YM) Due to the mis-arranged wiring harness where shift solenoid circuit and stop lamp circuit were wrongly interchanged, higher electric current than designed was flowing through shift solenoid for the automatic transmission shift selector lever lock circuit. Higher electric current could cause the shift solenoid circuit contact in the stop lamp switch to be burnt/melted that might result in stop lamp switch failure. In such a case, the automatic transmission selector lever coincidently may not be pulled out of 'P' range. As internal spring of the belt tension adjuster was manufactured improperly, the spring may be broken and the tension of the belt will not be adjusted. In which case the belt will be slipped and the generator and water pump pulleys will not work.. In the worst case, the belt may come out from power steering pump pulley and driver will need increased effort to steer the vehicle. Al Rostamani Trading Co sole authorized distributor of Suzuki in UAE announces Recall Campaign for Suzuki Swift 1.5 (2007-2008 YM), Suzuki SX4 1.6 (2007-2008 YM) & Suzuki SX4 2.0 (2007-2008 YM) Due to the absence of pre-coated adhesive (thread lock) on three (3) screws on the outside rearview mirror base, the screw(s) may work loose and cause vibration of mirror itself resulting in the visibility performance decreased. Decision has been taken jointly with Suzuki Motor Corporation and the Ministry of Economy — Department of Consumer Protection, to launch a safety Recall Campaign to carry out the inspection of those vehicles affected in the UAE and have it replaced with the modified Part. Al Rostamani Trading Co will contact the affected vehicle owners individually to inform and give an appointment for the carrying out the replacement of the part. Bolts that fasten drive plate and torque converter may become loose and drop-off due to insufficient fastening torque on vehicle with continuously variable transmission (CVT) or automatic transmission. (AT). That leads to abnormal noise and in worst case, the dropped bolts can be bitten by the drive plate and cylinder block, ending up to possible engine stole and unable engine start. Also due to the improper program of transmission control module (TCM) for CVT.it may detect the abnormality in CVT pulley ratio under such unusual movement on the stepper motor. The MIL therefore may light and the CVT could fall into the failsafe mode resulting in the vehicle losing acceleration.
