Thank you so much @Janarthanfor the wonderful drive this morning! It was the perfect way to break my sand sabbatical. It was great to see some familiar faces out there too, @Abdul Rafay-S throwing that yellow peril about like a boss, I bet your dad was bricking it haha, we had @TT_Dubaidoing what he does, executing the perfect 2nd lead as @Janarthantook the hits for us and rerouted so we'd all stay safe and then @Nikiearning his 'support' stripes, digging, tugging and calmly and efficiently guiding everyone who had a refusal or stuck. It was nice to see some new faces too, @Enrico Biscaro and @Hilal Sharafudeen who had fantastic drives in their first fewbie outing and @Gilbert Khalilwho drove impressively with a great self recovery at the end. Thanks for being a great convoy! So much fun! And it's nice sitting at the back because I get to relax and watch you all. 🤩

Drive Report My oh my , newbies you really earned your stripes today. What a fantastic convoy! The drive did what it said on the tin, we tackled side slopes, we went down really steep dunes, we climbed Fossil Rock and we even went down the rock's mega steep descent, all without a hint drama! @SUNIL KUMAR you started off tentatively but had built your confidence by the end of the drive and handled the final 3 challenges incredibly well. Well done for persevering and thanks to @Melenanyfor his words of encouragement. Keep it up. @arjumandWow, a flawless drive from you. You handled all the challenges really well. Smashed it! I know it was your first time in this role and you did a great job, changing the track when I asked and keeping a good distance to allow me to make changes when I needed to. Good afternoon fellow adventurers, Tomorrow afternoon's drive will see us venture into the deep red sands of Mahafiz where we shall scout around and find play area after play area after play area as we make our way to Fossil Rock. It promises so much! But what we do and where we get to all depends on the convoy so , we shall see. The forecast is predicting a cool 39degsC and as we make our way through the sands it will continue to drop That said, it is imperative that you keep an eye on your dials and bring plenty of fluids to sustain you. Drive Brief Hone your off-road skills in Sharjah's majestic red sands under the shadow of the mighty Fossil Rock. There's a reason this area is so popular with off-roaders, it offers everything and is a perfect training ground to hone and develop your off-road skills. We will meet in the shade of the Mahafiz trees and make our way towards the rock, whilst doing so we will encounter lots of challenges and hopefully even get to practice some climbs and side sloping. This drive is organized in full compliance with the COVID19 guidelines. We expect every member that joins this drive to go through below information and and strictly follow these guidelines in order not to jeopardize someone's health, and to ensure we can keep organizing these drives safely. MUST READ AND TOTALLY AGREE: COVID19 Precautions MUST READ AND TOTALLY AGREE: BAN POST Two Way Radio Guidelines Every Offroader brings his own radio, programmed to the frequencies described in below advice topic. We will not share spare radios or program your radio on the drive. If you need assistance in programming the radio, post a topic on the Carnity website with your questions and we will help you out. Make sure your radio is fully charged. It will be your only way of communication while driving. Before buying, please carefully read below advice so you are informed properly on which model / cost / shops... No radio = No drive. It is an essential tool and you should make sure you bring it on every drive and learn/practice how to use it. Drive Report Well aren’t you lot all kinds of fabulous! The convoy was the epitome of a Newbie Drive, with so many members experiencing only their first or second drive at Newbie level , the casual observer would have thought this was a Fewbie convoy! I said we would tackle play area after play area and that’s exactly what we did. We climbed and side sloped our way to Fossil Rock , yes we had a couple of refusals along the way but by goodness this convoy lapped up everything I threw at them, and I definitely raised the bar and took quite a few members out of their comfort zone. @Faraz Mohammad – 10/10 for perseverance! You kept going trying to get the most out of your Pajero , and with some good advice from Vanessa you managed to side slope along the dunes towards the end of the drive. However, even before then you paid attention and controlled your car when you were losing momentum,. Well done. @Super Safari Girl – I know I pushed you, but you should be very pleased with your driving today. You had total control over that car of yours and had a brilliant drive, Are you sure it was only your second drive? 😉 @Savio Fernandes– You handled all the challenges really well today and also had a nice stuck . All part of the learning experience . Well done! @Simon Ducos – great to see you let off the leash and out there on your own! You had an impeccable drive and were always in total control of your vehicle. Great drive! @Jason Grima – a flawless drive from you , it was great to see you handle your car with finesse and not just power, and on your 2nd drive too. Well done! @Paolo Pellegrini – Flawless ! Bravo @Charbel– Flawless and in a new car too!
