Good morning fellow adventurers, The weather is cooling and the red sands of Tawi Nizwa await! I hope today to finish at Big red via Pink Rock, I call it cowboy country as it resembles something from the Cowboy films I watched as a kid. Here's hoping we have a convoy full of big chiefs, Haha It's a great training ground for some more advanced driving skills in relatively safe dunes, but as ever the drive is dependent on the entire convoy in terms of everyone's 'comfort levels'. I beg to differ, I don’t know how many AOR flags and suction cups I lost coming through the ranks I personally think the AOR flagpole is too heavy for the suction cup . the flag always starts to slip , even at newbie level I had sticky whips too….also a pain in the derrière 🤣

Pop into Dragon Mart and get a flagpole with suction cup mount. They're all pretty standard re size etc. Then once you catch the off-road bug you'll no doubt want a quick release flag and have a mount fabricated specifically for your car

Hey, does anyone have any good camping spots in Abu Dhabi? big enough for a substantial group with children and dogs easily accessible for inexperienced off-roaders with little equipment (I don’t want to spend the night recovering 🤣) any gps locations would be greatly appreciated
