  1. Yes dangerous especially when driving at high speeds. Similar injuries have been encountered in rear seat passengers when the sit with legs crossed . But the one is the xray is a terrible one!😔
  2. @Jun Zamora initially when I started driving xterra I was getting stuck everywhere even on flat surfaces. Members here who tugged me could remember.🤣 Once after few drives I realized that my driving style needs some change , lower deflating with AT tyres and also the paths u take . Dont go to garages who do a lot of mods at hefty prices for little benefits practically. Off course mods make the car look good and more aggressive but you can do the same soon with the Jeep you have.
  3. Thank you @Ale Vallecchi for a thrilling fast drive through the dunes in little sweihan. Smallish group but everyone had fun, well driven by everyone at good pace. Drives in full sync with their cars potentials , all the challenges managed very well especially by @Kalahari. Always helpful @Febin Frederic and a nice self recovery by @Rinelle Sanaani 👍 @Emmanuel I hope your car is sorted soon, it was sad to see you go back after coming all the way to the starting point.
  4. Nice drive and well driven everyone. Few first tugs by me and shovelling ...I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks @Srikumar and @Vanessa8580. Some pictures uploaded in gallery. Drive stats below 45593752001_relive-tracker_1596259313087.mp4
  5. Super excited for my first intermediate drive, looks like a fantastic group there (TXWXWXW). See you all on Saturday
  6. I got my car fixed with @Barry. He is very knowledgeable 👍
  7. Totally agree @Srikumar. But frankly as I said it was a very tight pocket like situation and I was above from the entry to exit. It was getting a bit dark, we were getting into slightly tighter spots and probably only when I entered from a small crest I realized the other car was getting stuck.Radio communication was spot on but there was some lag due to the situation we were in. Lorenzo and Jorge were behind me.I Was very sure I wasn't losing any momentum and hence went ahead - probably not a very good judgement in hindsight now! But I will keep your advise in mind, and try to keep more distance in future.
  8. Thank you everyone for your valuable feedback and suggestions. Last drive with @Ale Vallecchi, I was behind @Anish S who was driving very well. But when we entered little sweihan in one soft spot on side slope Anish was stuck and I was quite behind and with my momentum I was able to go above (3 to 4 cars distance)and clear. I am not sure if it was wise but I made that decision in split second considering the momentum I had or else we would have been stuck one above other.@Wrangeld had the best visual probably. @Frederic recovered Anish from side slope with a tug, which I could not visualize as I was way ahead in front. Hence this topic came in my mind for better understanding.
  9. Yes, I agree each situation here is different. But wanted to emulate the scenarios so that we are better informed when actually faced with a similar situation. Theory before the practicals🤣 Forward or backward? to minimise the chances of rollover which is not a very comfortable situation.Going front /Back - will reduced the chance of roll over?
  10. Dear All ( especially @Rahimdad, @Gaurav, @Srikumar, @Frederic, @Emmanuel, @Asif Hussain, @Wrangeld , @Ale Vallecchi) I would like to know the correct method for self recovery/assisted recovery when stuck on a side slope. While doing side sloping on extremely soft sand one tends to get stuck on a slope in one of the three positions as depicted in the pictures below - Line diagrams of cars. Kindly opine How to recover in the Following situations - when shovelling /tug would be needed? 1. Stuck with car being horizontal - (MOST TRICKY and DEBATABLE ?) 2. Stuck with Car front pointing Up 3. Stuck with Car front pointing down
