  2. Waitlist 1. @Lawrence_Chehimi 2. @TT_Dubai RSVP is closed and hence you will be on waitlist if there is any drop out further. If there is one drop out then Lawrence is in, If there is two drop outs then you both are in. Please make sure you keep a watch on the drive thread and tag me with your confirmation of joining if you see a drop out. I have already stretched the numbers to accommodate as many considering a short drive. Please Keep a watch next time in advance and RSVP in time. I appreciate your understanding that as a lead it is a task to arrange the convoy numbering on a weekday and hence planning in advance is safer and for everyone's convenience. 3. You are welcome to join provided your car issue is fixed properly and it is 100% desert ready @MUHAMMAD Kashif RAZZAQ. @Thomas Varghese thanks for your gesture, but if you are tired I would advise you to rest. Off roading needs 100%concentration . You are doing quite a number of rides, do them to enjoy and not to burn yourself out. Hope you take my advise sportively. Best wishes @Mohamed Madani thanks for asking. From second drive onwards radio is a mandatory requirement. (Along with shovel, flag, deflator and compressor) If you dont have one please arrange for one so that you can join drives with Carnity. I would advise you to sign out if you could not get one for today's drive. Covid is not allowing us to share equipments yet. TIA Family members are welcome provided they are belted at all times and are used to desert driving as some get motions sickness.

  5. Dear friends, thank you for signing up on this drive Thomas Varghese @Thomas Varghese Mohamed Seidam @Mohamed Seidam Lakshmi Narasimhan @Lakshmi Narasimhan Ranjan Das @Ranjan Das Richard Franks @Richard Franks Ranjan Pattanaik @Ranjan Pattanaik Mohamed Madani @Mohamed Madani Ammar Naji @Ammar Naji Alain Canivet-Abikhalil @Alain Canivet-Abikhalil topgear @topgear @Dodi Syahdar @Ahab Shamaa Mandatory gear required for this drive - shovel, flag, programmed radio, deflator and compressor. This area is very bushy with some tight dunes and soft patches at places. We will be heading towards fossil rock for a beautiful sunset and venture towards Khatim or east of fossil rock. There will be enough time and terrain to test your finesse along with doing climbs and sideys. Make sure your car low lying parts are removed (air dam and plastic parts especially for cars with low ground clearance ) , else you risk breaking them and bumpers for sure 🤣.Drives are always with a disclaimer that I/we are not certified mechanics to sort all issues if any which can happen on sands, will try to help to the best of our knowledge and abilities. Please ensure Covid appropriate behavior on the entire drive. Deflate to 15 psi for regular tires and 12 psi for all terrain tires See you on Sunday
  6. congratulations @Zed, well done. I hope you are enjoying your new ride. Long time to catch up sometime soon

  11. Yes , get something which suits your budget and can take you to any level of driving Keep in mind the weight of the car, Power (V6/V8), SWB/LWB , Presence of gizmos (Diff lock, Crawl control etc). There is a dedicated thread on this webpage with respect to prices and off road endurance, you can check on that in the link below Best 4x4 cars under 10K and 20K dhs in UAE - Offroad General Discussion - Carnity.com
  12. 1. Yes a OBD sensor should help you. I read you have a SWB Pajero and hence overheating should be less of a probability if you use tiptronic gears and lesser weight means lesser strain on the engine/transmissions. Some senior members here have installed a extra fan on their pajeros for better cooling which is switched on while off-roading . ( For my car - Xterra there is a hack to get the engine temperature in degrees which helps to keep the heating checked) 2. Not mandatory to have off road lights, high beam with fog lamps should be okay as you will be following the car in front of you. Totally your comfort and choice to get an additional light, which is always helpful nevertheless on a night drive. My two cents, I am not a Pajero expert. Other members will shed more light for sure in due course
  13. @Shehab Alawadhi great to see your progress, well done and congratulations 👍
