  6. Happy birthday Sri 🍰🎂🍺🍾
  7. it must be a unique experience doing off-road under rain not only for us but all off-roaders in the UAE. We were lucky to catch it and tested our 'muddy off-road' skills of which more than 2 hours under continuous raining. We started our drive with excellent leading by @Nivin ; he quickly got us reached to our first play point and we followed funny dune games he made on long slopes. Very nice routing, great radio instructions and fun but safe off-road acts! The Chimney did his job good I think Welcome on board brother! it is nice to see you on the sand again. After the first half of the drive, we swapped with Nivin and headed to the next play point. @PaoloMaraziti and @Adhir Saxena, our newly promoted drivers started their Fewbie adventures under challenging conditions; muddy sand + constant raining It was the first time also for me running my wipers while climbing up the tall dunes. @PaoloMaraziti was very confident, perfectly managed his FJ during the whole drive and successfully made self-recoveries during his few refusals. After his great performance, unfortunately he felt a bit bad because of less sleeping at previous night. Fortunately we had completed 90% of our drive already and were very close to the exit so we safely and easily quit. Nice to hear you are good now. Don't worry, you didn't miss anything since we played only 20 min more after you and then finished the drive. Thank you for the nice video as well! @Adhir Saxena enjoyed practicing new actions which are not much being done in newbie drives; we tried many criss-crossing, ridge-riding and longer side sloping on a fast pace. It was amazing seeing Adhir on my mirror, easily passing through all difficult points and quickly catching his position. You have the most valuable skill for off-roading; passion! Being eager to learn will give you very quick improvement. You will be more comfortable with your Pajero once you make modifications on your bumpers. Well done! @Lakshmi Narasimhan , our experienced Fewbie did everything smooth as always he does; excellent game play in side slopes, ridge rides, crisscross and problem solving with correct self recovery and re-attempting techniques. The issue was different for him this time; two pop-outs on his good-looking front tire But we went through these very quickly by excellent team work and immediately back to our action! Thank you for your great performance! ... also for the full video record of the drive 👍 ... and of course my friend @sertac; provided wonderful support again for all the convoy. He was the one supervised everything to ensure safe drive, made individual ridge-ride training sessions and helped us to manage all problematic issues with his great advices. Lucky to have you friend! See you all on the next drive!
  8. @Lakshmi Narasimhan @PaoloMaraziti @William Fernandes @Adhir Saxena @Nivin @sertac Here is the convoy order for tomorrow's drive; Pos Driver Car Level L Mehmet & Nivin Pajero & XT ADV SL Sertac XT EXP 3 Paolo Maraziti FJ FWB 4 Adhir Saxena Pajero FWB 5 Lakshmi Narasimhan Pajero FWB 6 William Fernandez FJ FWB 7 Mehmet & Nivin Pajero & XT ADV @Nivin will take partial leading of the drive as per his LL program. We are planning to visit some playable zones (number depends on the convoy speed) and mid-level technical parts in between them. We will be on radio channel #4 There will be another Carnity convoy for a morning newbie drive close to our meeting point. Do not confuse with it, just pass through them and continue for approx 1 km to our meet point. We will directly enter the desert from there after deflating. See you in the morning!

  11. it was an interesting experience driving all with pajeros. The cars were happy in being with friends. we had very experienced fewbies and two of the best newbies in the convoy so @Vanessa8580 comfortably pushed the level up around fewbie without concern. everyone responded well. thanks @Vanessa8580 @Anish S @Tamas Hoffmann for smooth leading and support. Tamas did a good start his partial leading practices thanks @Lakshmi Narasimhan @Gregory @Warren Flay @andy_macdxb for your excellent performances again. see you on the next!
  12. Was a great drive to start an energetic and peaceful weekend. Routes selected by @Ale Vallecchi always give you an opportunity to feel freedom with the sunrise of the desert. Very strong drivers responded to the challenges of such a fewbie level terrain. Great 2nd lead @Lakshmi Narasimhan quickly following directions announced by @Ale Vallecchi to keep the convoy in a safe pace. @Ranjan Pattanaik skillfully assimilated his Explorer's potential. @Gregory @ARAGON @Pmaraziti @JeromeFJ @Roger K @WaYan @Chris Wing @TT_Dubaidetermined off-roaders surfing on the sand without any major issue. @Russ well controlled his truck in technical areas which is more challenging for long cars. Well done! @Warren Flay played a dessert show on my mirror with excellent side slopes crowned by an amazing self recovery. ... and of course, it was good to know @Shaaz Sha monitoring all the convoy from the back, always on board immediately after any need and put his hands into the work. Thank you buddy! See you all on the next!
  13. @Nathan Evans @sheri thank you for your joining to this drive. Due to the less no of RSVPs, this drive has been merged with the Friday morning Fewbie drive to Bab al Shams. Your names will already be added into RSVP list so you can join that drive on Friday morning, if you are available

  15. @Wrangeld ; the problem with @Roda Kum is that he wants to have bbq everywhere in the desert but can't go longer than 5 m on the sand. Then he has to share half of his meat and drinks with the rescue guys to pay for recovery! That's why I suggested him to join Carnity to save his bbg viands. I was waiting for @Roda Kum to get some off-road skills before invite you in. His BBQ level is not like his off-road level so we can utilize this opportunity to get repaid
  16. I was very lucky in having such a great convoy for my first leading. Very amazed with the performance of each single driver. Leading a convoy with zero stuck was a unique advantage for my start Experienced different skills in a single drive; - flying Jimnys and screaming big brothers (Raptor, F150) in the same convoy; congrats @Nathan Evans @Yahya Munir @Jack Thomas @Dodi Syahdar - first time i saw a Montero reaching up to Faya from the front; amazing @Jon M - no challenge but just a day to play for wranglers surfing on high dunes; big cheers @Pacific @Ranjan Das - taking full load of minor refusals with excellent instructions; thank you for your support buddy @Arda Yagcioglu ... and of course, @sertac supervising the route and full safety of the convoy, making everything smooth for my first leading. Thousands thanks my dear friend... Thank you all! See you on the next drive!
  17. Often getting stuck and trying for self recoveries also may cause transmission overheat. Continuous switching between the gears D-R-N to recover from a stuck may heat transmission, especially if the weather is hot.
  18. Was it transmission or engine overheat? if it is engine overheat, maybe you mainly used 1st gear. Try more with 2nd on easy terrains and avoid long time driving with 1st gear. if it is transmission overheat, means you are switching a lot
  19. You can mainly use 2nd gear and switch down to 1st when more momentum is needed... 3rd and upper are sabkhas and long tracks only...
  20. Thank you @MUHAMMAD Kashif RAZZAQ It was my pleasure. You did most of the work as an excellent CF! See you soon on next drives!
