  1. Thanks to @Gaurav for another very enjoyable drive with some great views. Very much appreciated my position in the convoy today behind @Islam Soliman I was able to match the path, speed and momentum easily and found myself understanding my Pajero even more today. Today I learned to use less gas than previous weeks and as a result definitely felt the handling to be a lot more stable and am getting more confident. Looking forward to trying the play areas in another drive or two. Some other learnings: Trying to find a secluded dune for a bio break will result in you walking at least 4 times farther than anticipated and bringing half the desert back in your shoes. Sometimes there can be miscommunications about lefts and rights, if in doubt come to a complete stop and clarify. I need extra hands to operate the car, walkie-talkie, camera and hydrate simultaneously. Having a copilot to take pics, chuckle in relief as @Kieran McKeown and the Duster reverses off a vertical dune and remarkably remains intact and help with deflation, pre drive, is 100 times better than going it alone. MeanMother air compressor worked a treat! Remote control inflation is the future!
  2. If you haven't bought it next week, remind me the next drive if we are on the same one and you can have a proper look at it @Christian Andras
  3. @Christian Andras I would have let you have a try of mine! I'm afraid I wasn't feeling very well today so I didn't really hang about too long after. I wasn't sure who was on our drive from this thread.
  4. So @Christian Andras I cheated and took the Pajero to Adnoc after the drive. But after misreading my gauge on deflation this morning got a chance to reinflate using the MeanMother. I'm a happy customer so far! Would have been happier had I remembered the battery for the remote today 😅. Are you thinking of buying one?
  5. @Frederic Uh-oh! 🙈 Unionbusters alert! 👀🤭🤭
  6. When we get to 5 I'll start printing the T-shirts 😜
  7. 3 members of the MeanMothers compressor crew now. Growing strong 😃😎😎😎. I agree @RohanH I really liked the vibe at this shop and very helpful and informative.
  8. Awesome. Air compressor twinsies @Colin Jordan 🤜🤛. We can park up and synch remote operate our MeanMothers like total bosses 😎😎
  9. If you're on the Friday Morning Sharjah Newbie drive you can have a closer look at it
  10. Yeah I asked about that - the guy printed, stamped and signed a receipt and then took a copy for the shop. I asked about the 5-year warranty and what I should do if I had any issues within that time and he told me I could bring it back to the shop. I checked the warranty on the website and couldn't see anything that might exclude purchase here. Tbh I was sold as soon as I saw him demo it on my Pajero tires using the remote control... I'm a sucker for gadgets 😝!! https://www.meanmother.com.au/images/MMACA3_MMACM3_warranty_2018.pdf
  11. I just bought this one today. Looking forward to trying it out this weekend!
  12. Thank you for those links @Gaurav! Most helpful and thank you for the oil brand recommendation too! I'll be taking some time off next week so I plan to take a day to get some modifications done and get to know my engine a little better
  13. This is super helpful with the photos too! Thank you!
  14. Thank you for these tips! I've read the topic about the rear bumper, I'm assuming the same workshop mentioned in Ajman could adjust the front bumper as you recommended here. Any recommendations for best fluids/brands?
  15. So I'm 4 drives into this new hobby of off-roading. Loving it so far! Looking for advice from the seasoned owners and drivers here. What should I be doing regularly to care for my Pajero and ensure she keeps running smoothy and avoid any rookie errors which may result in expensive mistakes. Beyond regular servicing, oil changes and fluid top ups my level of expertise is pretty low and consists of YouTube videos and manual reading. I've been reading about the rear bumper/scoop issue so will look into having a workshop fix this. Ideally, if there were such a thing, I'd love to do some kind of maintenance workshop to learn how to do minor upkeep or modifications myself and avoid the "Very White Lady Tax" I get charged every time I go to a garage 😕
  16. Really enjoyed today, learning so much each time I drive about how the Pajero handles in sand. Got a double arm workout this week wrestling with the steering wheel on that side dune refusal and a nice face and carful of sand for leaving my driver's window open 🤦‍♀️. Thanks @Gaurav and @sertac for digging me out and explaining very clearly how I need to respond in these situations. Looking forward to the next one!
