  2. Dear @Rahimdad In addition that Alqudra is one of my favorite places family wise , also other reason that it’s not quite uncommon to see the other convoys ending up inflating as finish point adding up a reason for me and most of us to meet and chat behind our masks , Bless you and all the good people whom I know in person and also for those who’ve I wish to meet and know . cheers 🙏🏻🚙🌷
  3. Hi dear friends What you think ? Such modern very expensive and electronically highly sophisticated trucks from technical point of view is it worthy to go for ? I don’t know , I don’t think I will be more happy with what I have .... still I am discovering new things in my X which is still to add to my skills and experience ! Cheers 🚙😎
  4. Many people drive for a living, commute long distances daily or at some point are required to drive long distances to reach holiday destinations. How can Chiropractic help resolve this ongoing problem? The British Chiropractic Association (BCA) published figures which found that 32000 people visit a Chiropractor each month with injuries that are aggravated, or caused by, poor driving posture. The Chiropractors at Lilliput Health in Poole, would like to help offer some simple, easy to follow advice on avoiding the pain and discomfort associated with driving. The optimal driving posture: The seat: The car seat should be set to a slightly leaning backwards position. The lower back should be supported. If it doesn’t feel supported, roll up a towel and place it in the small of your low back. Your elbows should be at a comfortable and relaxed angle for the steering wheel. Drive with your hands in the 20 to 4 position rather than 10 to 2. This relaxes the shoulder muscles. Don’t sit too far from the pedals. This can put additional strain on your neck and upper back. Your seat belt should always lie across the top of your shoulder and should never rub against your neck or fall onto the top of your arm. Once you feel like you have the correct driving posture, then set your car mirrors to suit your posture. If you then slump or change position, the mirrors will no longer be correct and you will readjust your posture to gain a better view. When driving: • Take regular breaks – the BCA advises that you should stop and stretch your legs (and arms!) at least every two hours. • If you are stuck in traffic or at traffic lights waiting, exercise in your seat. Try buttock clenches, side bends, shoulder shrugs and shoulder circles. Survey completed by Motorpoint discovered that 75% drivers suffer with back pain because they drive in the wrong seating position. The survey findings revealed that 30% of drivers don’t sit correctly at the wheel. The age group with the highest proportion of back pain was those aged 25-34, with 83% of r claiming to be affected. This was closely followed by those aged 35-44 (79%). More women than men were shown to be suffering back pain (78% to 71%) as a result of driving position. ““Poor driving positions, especially if repetitive or for long journeys, can lead to spinal pain in the neck and lower back. This can create areas of joint stiffness, muscle tightness and altered posture” – Clare Henson-Brown from Bespoke Wellbeing”
  5. We are looking forward to meet you too @Aus Alzubaidi 👍🙏🏻
  6. Bet it wii dear @Rahimdad bhai. Remember this is one important of so many measures , adjusting the driver seat to proper position , to avoid the “ tear and ware “ to the neck back knees and even shoulders / arms. ( I would like to make another topic for it ) as I believe it’s part of my duty as a friend and as a doctor to tell my community for the best to their well being so we can all enjoy driving in comfort and this will make concentration better and the control to maximum .
  7. @Luca Palanca Falsini Well deserved buddy hearty congratulation 👍🚙✌️
  8. @Craig Finlayson congratulations buddy well deserved 🚙👍😎
  9. Its interesting not to overlook this for the new as well as experienced drivers 🚙 The reason why I am opening this topic is stemming from the fact that one of the major causes of neck and back pain is more or less related to the wrong driving seat position especially for those who drive long distances on daily bases. we drive every week an average of three hours if not more with full concentration and I believe this has an impact. Comfortable seating position is one of many ways how to overcome this problem which needs separate topic. I readjusted mine recently , and It made a big difference to me , have you ?!
  10. In addition to what @Srikumar and @Frederic have valuably said regarding manual vehicles also another advantage that if your battery got cut for what ever reason still you can start it by pushing it or let it roll slightly if inclined while it’s in gear pull the clutch and drive again ( I had experienced my self when I used drive manual ( not in UAE ) ) on the other hand in automatic you will need a charger , towing or recovery vehicle .
  11. Hello @Aus Alzubaidi and welcome to Carnity offroad club . I am living west to you and @Frederic , live in Damac hills . And yes Qudra became my favorite place especially its lakes I love it . I have Adam too and he accompanies me most of the time . He likes it . You have a nice light powerful capable vehicle that you will understand it better when gliding over the dunes . Take care and welcome again 🙏🏻🚙🌷
  12. This one is from the internet Manual rocking and pushing may help self recovery sometimes
  13. @Srikumar I was born to drive a manual vehicle . It’s the king of fun be it on or off road agree . I really miss it but honestly I never tried the manual off road 😄
  14. After several drives spent in the desert and after witnessing many refusals and stuck including mine , revising the tapes and listening to the instructions on radio and reading and watching different audio visual materials on the net I wondered 🤔 : why things still happening ?) what , still , I don’t see?! I would like to share with you guys what I found and think that might be the real cause of some faults that may occur ?! Scenario 1 : A driver climbing straight up hill of a dune ( encountering loss of momentum and eventually stand still ( front pointing up and rear down ) , now reversing straight down .... on the way down the observer now see what the driver is not realizing that his vehicle is almost sideways stuck or flip is imminent. What The driver didn’t see or realize , despite listening to the proper instructions in radio ? Scenario 2 : Performing a side slope with a decent incline and proper momentum and would assume the track is free of bumps ( trying to be ideal with no apparent cause of fishtailing related to terrine or car power ) .. at the middle of half moon now the driver realizes his vehicle is fishtailing and hearing from the radio the demand to steer down . What the driver didn’t see ?! ( clue : the more the incline the more this is happening ) Scenario 3: A driver descending down hill regardless how steep ( the more steep the more it’s probable to happen in a given situation ) ... again finding self fishtailing and imminent flip may occur . What the driver couldn’t see ? In all scenarios it’s obvious it’s control issue , now how can this be an issue ? ( assuming full concentration and car and terrain is perfect , which off course in reality it’s not but only for the sake of explanation ) Explanation : The driver has exerted an input to steering wheel without realizing it as it looked very minimal , however this may lead to unwanted results . In scenario 1 : The driver has the habit to lean and look backward using only one hand on the steering instead of using the rear mirror to maintain body /arm/ hand position steady and relaxed during decent. In scenario 2 : The natural tendency to lean the neck away from the incline side while the your body is restricted by the seatbelt without you realize you use the hands to maintain that neck leaning leading to un noticeable input to the steering in the direction where your neck lean ( small counter steering ) this leads off course to disturbance fishtail or slowing by releasing foot off accelerator resulting in refusal or stuck or in worse case roll over . In scenario 3 : As it’s advised to “drive “down hill and not to “roll “ it down as you gain speed slightly naturally you will have the urge to break , and if this is slightly harder your hand will push against the steering wheel which is mostly unintentional and unequal. this will put input to the steering wheel disturbing the directional stability .. fishtailing , braking , more fishtailing ... and so on Solution: Awareness and knowledge about the details. Practice makes perfect always Plan your intended next move and be vigilant , draw your imaginary line correctly and stick to follow it. Avoid bad habits of being distracted . Relax you hands with both thumbs up always on steering wheel and while on incline have a leap of faith and train your mind to go with the incline not against it . Offroad drive needs time and patience to master , respect the gravity don’t fight it and it will bring sure to the top. Note : this is my experience so far , I wanted to share . Please advice me always as learning is endless and I apologize if it was long . Cheers 🙏🏻🚙🌷
  15. Which is better in terms of different points vehicle/ driver related ? maybe slightly lengthy but worth watching it what you think desert wanders ? P.S : personally I learned driving on manual and all my drivers licenses too . however as of off-roading I never tried the manual , it seems more fun but requires extra skills
  16. Agree hundred percent , I believe in that incident this was the trigger to initiate the following chains of wrong reactions till the point the vehicle was in a position that needed just a gentle push by one finger to flip it
  17. @Frederic probably this is the best statement that every off-roader should carry with him along . Thank you
