Drive Report: This is my video drive report. It took some time - hope you like it. A big thanks to @Davie Smooth_Operator for letting me take part of the extended convoy and doing the planning convoy order for the drive. All that I did was to just show up and drive. I would like this opportunity to thanks the support I got from @Vanessa8580. I felt the need for having an extra lead since the issues with my Jeep in Nahle a month ago. I am bit over dramatic on the matter but still prefer to have a safety of another lead to take over in case my Jeep fails me in the middle. @Jessica Lambert you were a fantastic sweep. Could not have asked more in a supporting role than what you did in the drive. Thanks a lot for the tug at the end. @Sherry Jacob, good to have have you in the wrangler as a second lead. You did well. @Yury you missed the briefing - but please make sure that you are on time and don't miss the instructions. Hope the front bumper issue could be resolved soon. Further down the convoy @Steve Farmer you bring the familiar Aussie wit to the drive - I know because my boss is Steve and is an Aussie - who is more fond of cricket than I am. @Abdullah A. you managed the Pajero like a veteran. @Sandeep Padhi - good to see you after a long long time, I guess that was one of my last Newbie drives in Qudra. @ArSaLaN you had a perfect drive till almost the end, same with @Dipu Francis - you could self recover from perhaps the lone refusal you had. @JAISROCK good to see you back on the Y62 beast - I hope we meet more often.

Gautam Banka has been promoted to Intermediate level
Looper replied to Gaurav's topic in Off-Road Club's Announcements
Congratulation @Gautam Banka on your promotion. well-done! Enjoy you first drive this weekend. -
Do not buy 1st copy - they will break. We had such incidents, where the buyer was cheated into buying 1st copies as original and they broke in the middle of the desert.

I have Black Rhino wheels on my jeep, they have good negative offset - I had to remove the spacers and still the wheels look more protruding than before. I got them from a shop near Modern Bakery in Al Quoz. When I had some issue with the wheels, (some cosmetic issues) I contacted Black Rhino directly, and they referred back to me to the same shop as they are the authorized dealers.

Thank you all for a wonderful Yellow Truck pilgrimage. @Glenn W you were a great second lead, always keeping correct distance and following me on the trot. @Mahmut, I was expecting a TJ but got a JT instead. I suppose you would have got a lot of experience with the new car, it is a great choice for the desert since it is made for it. @nithish468 we drove together longer than anyone on the drive. As soon as I joined E11 from D57, I saw a FJ with a looper sticker on it. Didn't take long to figure out that it was you. I hope you had learnt something on the drive. @Hani crest king Our first drive together, and you did a great job keeping the cresting to minimum. More we drive more we learn how to manage the stucks and refusals. @AlexM happy to see you back on another annual pilgrimage. You could contrast the differences between both the drives. Obviously it was an IM convoy last year so the drive was much more aligned to that level and this time it was kept slightly easier. @M.Seidam it was an honor driving with you once again in another weekend. Thank you very much for all the assistance in the refusals. I was much relived with your presence at the back. I will return with some stats and working on the video. hopefully it will be ready by the weekend.

DRIVE PLAN CAUTION: DO NOT JOIN THE DRIVE IF YOU CANNOT FACE SUSTAINED G FORCE AND DO NOT BRING PASSENGERS WHO CANNOT FACE SUSTAINED G FORCES. g-force is a force acting on a body as a result of acceleration or gravity, in this drive we will test the limits of our capability to endure g-force; this time in Fayah, Abu Dhabi. We will do countless short, small but intense sidees thought our drive testing our endurance. There is a high likelihood of motion sickness for passengers as they won't be able comprehend where we are going, as it occurs when one's brain can't make sense of information sent from their eyes, ears and body and they will feel queasy. IMPORTANT: MAKE SURE THAT EVERYTHING IN YOUR CAR IS PROPERLY SECURED A Glimpse of what you will do: GENERAL OVERVIEW We request every member that joins this drive to go through the information below and strictly follow these guidelines, etiquette and responsibilities.
