  1. So true mark same.for me .. . congratulations Thomas it only gets better and better.
  2. Evening all, A quick note to say that despite the change in the planned route (black line from south to north), we were blocked by a large fence and had to find another way in. Took a bit of time but we got there in the end. As you can see, the actual route we took was the green line, so we ended up back at the start and went through the first set of dunes, which were pretty decent. We covered just under 49 Kms. The area had a lot of greenery, which made it quite bumpy in places, so it took a bit of thinking to get us onto cleaner dunes. The section towards the end of the first half and into the second half was quite technical, so it was good that we didn’t have any major issues—especially with all the bumping and banging along the way. Everyone did really well. I was especially happy with Raj’s progress, and I felt confident with all the drivers throughout. Thanks as well for your patience. The unexpected issue at the start meant we couldn’t get onto the bigger dunes first, but it’s a good learning. For future drives in Ajban, we can start from the north and come down, basically doing the planned route in reverse. Big thanks to Dr Seidam and Emanuel for the support and ideas—definitely things I’ll use going forward. @Krinesh thanks for support at the back it made my drive very chilled and dramatic free thank you Night night.

  8. There's an app called liwa sports club that's where you can book tickets and stuff.
  9. I usually go every year for a few days. Set up camp far far away and drive around during the day and watch the shenanigans in the evening, sit in the car park and cook a meal whilst watching. A highlight for me is monster jam it's absolutely epic. You can find the schedule of events on Instagram. I personally love the whole vibe but finding a good spot to sleep is key and also if your alone confidence and ability to drive around the liwa dunes quite deep at night to get your sleep is paramount. They have decent shower facilities there and a really good food area with all the stalls you can imagine along with a big town type set up. It even has a Lulu for all your ingredients. I personally love it. They do a nice firework show most nights and over new years etc.
  10. Mark I have to say you using that keyring yesterday to secure that caliper was super quick thinking. And Davie that technique with the throttle and break combo was bloody good. It's the reason I love the drives - the problem solving. Really good drive you guys in front of me and behind that I could see nailed it honestly. I was just rummaging through my man cave under the stairs and found a roll of garden wire I'll be adding to my artillery for future situations we need to improvise 😂
