Thank you all for joining this morning. I think @Charbel had it straight, it was a superb drive. No need to elaborate much more, these ridges were beautiful, and we have shared a great time. The terrain was not easy, especially with some nasty pockets hidden inside the dunes, and the long ridges requiring concentration and excellent control of the car. As a group, you have been perfect, being focused on your lines, and supporting each other when needed. Special thanks @Daniel Rodas for the second lead, perfectly anticipating my moves, @Vanessa8580, @Charbel, @Vaibhav for the support and assistance for the few stucks we had. You were on the spot before I could realize something was happening. @siddharth maheshwari, @Yusuf Esaf, welcome back to Carnity after a long time. @Tareq Al Turq, @salah2u always good to have you in the drive. And congratulations to @Jonny90 amazing driving for his first FB+. Enjoy the rest of the weekend and see you soon on the sand!

Dear Desert Drivers, Thank you for singing up to the drive on Saturday. I'm sure most of you have already driven this area of Faqa, but it allows to a great variety of tracks, so most of us will go through something new. The plan is to warm-up in the medium size technical area close to the starting point, and once we have taken the measure of the sand conditions, migrate inside the high dune area, in search for long ridges to ride. I will issue last details and convoy order tomorrow by the end of the afternoon. Please let me know before that in case you changed you plan.

Thank you all for joining the drive today. We had a great time in great company ! Between the bushes and the cross tracks it was bumpy in many places, but we know it is part of it. The small bowls of the first portion were perfect to warm up and get that feeling of the required acceleration, just enough, but not too much, and the importance of choosing the correct line. Then the portion after the Fossil Rock offers as usual beautiful views of the mountains, but requires concentration and good control of momentum, and today with the soft sand, it was the place for a few refusals, all of them easily solved. Finally the big climbs on the side of Faya dune were particularly challenging today, with the unbelievable amount of tracks around. Congratulations to the ones who made it to the top, and to the ones who made several attempts. As you have seen, it is really a combination of car + driver, as choosing the proper line, proper gear, and dosing the acceleration are all important parameters that come in addition to the power of the car itself. Tire pressure has also its importance in these moments where every parameter counts. @Mike. Thank you for the 2nd lead, very well executed. A bit more determination will help you to go through the obstacles. @Benjamin, excellent 1st Fewbie drive, good control of your car and perfect radio comms @Zubair, very good 1st Fewbie also, controlling your acceleration to keep a continuous momentum will help controlling your trajectory @Jaro Tuzinsky, you had a difficult stuck, but for the rest, very nice drive, with a good focus in the bowls. @Rajiv Sam, thank you for the support, guiding fellow drivers and rerouting when needed. You have seen that the FJ has great capabilities ! @Brett Eicher, always a pleasure to see the classic Cherokee in the drive. You know how to take the most of it. Special congratulations for reaching the top of the high dune! @Jonny90, excellent drive, continue to enjoy @Joji varghese, thank you for joining, it is always nice to have more experienced drivers in the group @Brette, it was an honour to have you with us, thank you for the support and guidance for all of us. Thank you all for the excellent spirit, mutual support during recoveries, and nice chats during the breaks !!

Dear Desert Drivers, Thank you for signing-in for Saturday morning. The drive will be very scenic, We will start facing the rising sun crossing the Mahafiz area in the direction of Fossil Rock, trying to avoid bushes and shrubs, using portions of tracks from time to time until we reach a few impressive bowls and long dunes. Then we will have a nice open portion of medium size dunes, with views of the mountains opposite a deep valley to our left, until we reach the high dunes formation of Faya, place for a few high climbs or impressive dives. The soft sand will add to the challenges, and all your skills will be needed to control your driving lines. I will indicate the convoy order tomorrow by the end of the afternoon. Please let me know before that if you changed your plans.
