  1. @Rob S @Anoop Nair @Beide Worku, as you have seen in the drive post, and discussed above, We have set a criteria of having completed min 2 IM drives in the last 2 months to attend the drive. This is to ensure that everyone is comfortable and can fully enjoy the day. Please make sure you complete 1 more IM drive during this coming weekend. Alternatively, you can sign-in for a FB+ Liwa YT drive. I'm sure they will be as exciting as the IM drive. Thank you for your understanding.
  2. Hi @Beide Worku, I will keep your RSVP for now. You have to complete 1 more IM drive during this weekend (no excuse, you have 3 on the menu !) to be accepted for this drive. Then I recommend you to chose a level where you are comfortable. Consider that the scale of the dunes, the remoteness of the area, the duration of the drive will add to the challenge, and drives at any level will be an unforgettable experience.

  7. Thank you all for joining the drive Saturday morning. This area is never disappointing. from the quiet warm-up in the nice rolling dunes, to the small Ghafeteen Bowl (unfortunately full of cross tracks), then the technical climb to enjoy the full view of the sabkha and the surrounding dunes. The second part through the bigger dunes is progressively rising the level until we reached the massive Nagrah dune. Surprisingly for this time of the year, the desert was totally empty, and we have seen no other cars, except the locals training their falcons in the sabkha. @Lukas, thank you for the 2nd lead, very well driven for your 2nd FB drive. @Mike M., always a pleasure to have you. The White Rhino might have limitations for steep climbs, but can reach the top choosing proper lines. @Pranjal Varsani1 you have taken the Rubicon easily through the obstacles, @Benjamin, excellent focus and control of your car. An hesitation on a ridge made you crested, but don't worry at all, the fluidity will come with the number of drives. @Nathan L excellent control of your Pajero, thank you for the sweep ! Have a nice week all of you and seen you soon in a next drive.
  8. Drive safe @Pranjal Varsani1, and see you in the morning. You will enjoy the drive, it is a beautiful area
  9. Dear Desert Drivers, @Lukas @Mike M. @Pranjal Varsani1 @Benjamin @Nathan L Time for the final adjustments for the drive tomorrow. The short convoy will give us flexibility to make the most out of the area. The convoy order will be We will use Radio Channel 4 Enjoy the evening, take as much rest as you can, and see to tomorrow morning !
  10. @Ranjan Das I was looking forward to meeting you after a long time. We will wait a bit more !
  11. Hi @Benjamin. Happy to see you on the list. Attending to the BBQ in the evening will not prevent you to participate to the drive in the morning. You will see, the area is beautiful. No specific requirements. Just drive down the E66, exit to the E20 at Al Hayer in direction to Sweihan, and then E95. You can refill just after the exit of the E66 (ADNOC Service Station | Al Hayer-2 (659)). Just before the meeting point, you will see a gate. Just drive slowly to the gate, pronounce the magic words "Desert Lords, kindly let me in, I will show care and respect", and the gate will open.

  13. @Srikumar, 2 bowls ahead, showing the way (yes, in the middle, its him)
  14. @Srikumar, what a beautiful day ! You pushed us to the top, and we pushed our cars to their max (I discovered a cut-off @5500 rpm with certain conditions). We lack of words to describe the thrill, the enjoyment, the emotions of these beautiful moments, but the pictures in the gallery reflect all this. Thank you @Gaurav and @Frederic for the 2nd and 3rd lead and the guidance throughout the drive, @Amr Aydinyour lines where beautiful and precise behind Fred, @ASAD. @Waqas Parvez @Vaibhav amazing trio of skills and camaraderie. Many many thanks @Srikumar, not only for that drive, that was outstanding, but also for bringing us with @Gaurav and @Frederic to that level where we can enjoy these epic rides ! And special kudos to @GauravSoni, who brilliantly took the challenge of leading the second convoy !
