  1. Not sure how much the mechanic put, but definitely enough to make the fan roar
  2. My testimony on this: Cause: My fan clutch was dying few weeks back so I replaced with a new one and topped the silicone up. Observation: The fan is much louder than before and ofc no more overheating now in the peak summer 😃😃😃, finally feeling what's like to be a Toyota owner but still flooring the mighty VQ40DE engine. The downside: is obviously a bit lose of power, (feel more like an additional ac compressor is working), fuel economy not sure because Pathfinder is no longer my daily. But it is nothing compare to solving the overheating issue permanently. Experiment on extreme condition: Did IM with Ale few days back climbing dunes in Badayer in the afternoon, with ambient temperature of 47c at the start, no obvious overheating issue except the coolant temperature reached 100c at the first climb, the rest of drive was cool and temperature never reached beyond 95c including climbing extremely softened iftar super bowls, and few minutes of 4low maneuver on a slope with no wind. And I don't think any drive can be more extreme than this drive. Additional benefits for Pathfinder is that the gearbox will not disable locking in low gears as the gearbox is cooler too.
  3. Hi @Kailas any chance of squeezing me in being the only drive of the week? Would love to support as well.😁
  4. I was going to say "get well soon" but @M.Seidam 's healthy 27 years old body is well already with no symptom. Take more rest and get negative soon.
  5. it was indeed an exhilarating drive. The most challenging part for me was the last bit of technical terrain, not only because the soft sand , tight turns and darkness caused troubles, but also because we all getting tired in late hours, thanks to the cigarettes from @Joseph Raju I was able to make it to the end without problems. Thank you @M.Seidam for the drive and happy 27th birthday!, thank you all the support, guidance and leadership, as always I am learning from you in every single drive, and hoping for more ! Nice to meet some new faces and the familiar ones, all of us were drove very well and everybody enjoyed the drive ( at least I did very much) , Till next time!
  6. After reading this, I'm very tempted to take another newbie/fewbie drive in the second day morning, and minister of interior is staying at friend's place for the night 😶😶😶😶
  7. I have been stalking Zad's Instagram for a while, he's building lc1000 out of lc100😂
  8. It's another early morning in Badayer, I always like to go to Badayer, not only it being the nearest desert drive destination from home, but also because of thrills from continuous climbing, and the iftar-super bowls. Thank you @Hisham Masaad for bringing us back again and leading the drive. Driving IM after a month gap in sand indeed caused some trouble, struggling to climb in narrow terrains, lack of momentum on other climbings too. But great to see that@Chris Wing behind me who did not get affected at all! I actually noted that the steering boot was cut and leaking some liquid when everyone was helping the pop out, by then the steering was all good, and thought not to announce it as the drive is ending anyways. until I got stuck at the soft slop where a lot of steering was required in sand. It should be an easy fix. and I shall be ready for this week's IM inshalla @JeromeFJNow I recall that I didnt respond verbally to your instruction during self recovery, but I did follow your instruction in actions ( steering left right but more to right, try to reverse). Apologies for not responding verbally, will avoid next time. Everyone drove very well, as Hisham mentioned we did have a strong convey. See you all next time somewhere in the sandy pit!
  9. Does Toyota ever lose a competition? Perhaps only in budget-friendly section
  10. Apologies everyone, missed alarm today....😶😶 Have a good one
  11. By offroading and modifying the car you will only find the ride quality getting worse and worse. I would keep the JGC onroad and spend 20 to 30 for a offroad toy, now it's off season, you may find many killer deals. I drive Pathfinder but recommend Xterra offroad version
  12. LR4 early models only offered v8 5.0, if it's v6 then it's a LR3 face lifted to LR4's look. 15 to 18 will be ideal cost for a LR3 v6. Sell JGC and get a Prado LC150 for onroad and offroad 😁😁
  13. Thanks everybody for the kind words. Couldn't reply sooner due to busy schedules. This promotion came exactly 1 year after I joined Carnity. Offroad has indeed become one of my passion and addiction, 52 drives plus 1 liwa crossing completed in a year explained it all 😈. I wish the little experience I have can be found helpful to others.
  14. Hi @Kailas, I might not be able to reach on time due to work arrangements, can I notify you by 445 if I can make it or not ? thanks
  15. It's an eventful drive yet we all made to the end. Thank you @Hisham Masaad for the drive, and accommodating all of us, @Rob S for CF and Sweep after my rear bumper damage. Everybody did pretty well, some refusals/stucks as expected, but at the end they are all learnings. @H3 Joe it was a pleasure driving behind you, the lines and approaches you took were really pleasure to eyes. I used to think H3 is a heavy American tank, untill today that you have shown to me the swiftness of H3, and now I found out that I5 H3 can be slightly ligther than my Pathfinder 🤣. BTW I suppose yours is the v8 5.3?
  16. Altho I chose Dobinson twintube, so sad that Dobinson doesnt have stock....So I have Ironman Foamcell installed, done 1 drive and 200km+ highway today. The highway performance is superb, stable from 0 -140 havent reached 160 yet, lots support on extreme cornering that I am afriad the AT tires will give up before the suspension does. firmer handling ofc, and stiffsness bit as well. Offroad I couldnt do much today, absorption on the gravel track and cross track is great, did 60kmh on the gravel track exiting from big red to tarmac, very much in control and very little shock transmitted into the car, no fading in aborption.
