MUST WATCH: NEWBIE VIDEO BRIEFING Drive Details Level: Newbie and above (all levels) Meeting time: Saturday 19th April - 06:30 AM Meeting Point: https://maps.app.goo.gl/jrXFp27rNxMehda26 Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance. What to bring along: Loads of water, snacks (for yourself), smiles, enthusiasm and willingness to learn. Approximate finish time: 10:30 AM P.S. Only join if you have a compressor to inflate your tires after the drive. LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE: This drive is limited to 12 cars only. RSVP will close on Saturday - 9AM. If the RSVP is full, you can add your name to the waitlist, once anyone drops, you will be moved to the RSVP list. RSVP will close a day prior to preparing a convoy list. Dear desert wanders @Mei ling, @Nicolò, @Shary, @ChrisW, @Jose Luis Campos, @Paul Eldho, @essam ibrahim, @B.K., @FERNANDO SYRIO, @Luke K P, @Mark B @Benje_Junior, thank you all for a great drive today I thoroughly enjoyed it, We had a little bit of everything,, from Technical dunes to mid to long range and some soft sand to mix it up a little bit. You all drove so well I thought I had an intermediate group with me. So well in fact that we only had a couple of stucks and a handful of refusals including my own self-induced ridge crest so well done to each and everyone of you. A special shout out to my Second Lead @ChrisW who did an amazing job as always of smoothing my lines out and reacting to the late instructions to change the line, great reactions and job well done, thanks again mate. In the sweep we had the talented and colorful @Luke K P always a pleasure to have you in the convoy bringing that spot of color with you, great coms keeping the rear of the convoy firmly together and attending flawlessly to the occasional refusal, appreciate all the help mate. In CF 1 we had @Mark B, always calm under pressure and everywhere you needed to be with eyes on the issues and a calming concise manner at dealing with everything that was thrown at you I am sure everyone learnt a great deal today from you and how to self recover great job mate and thanks again. In CF2 we had our newest lead at Carnity @Benje_Junior, great support as always. good to hear you on the radio taking control of situations and giving advise where needed, this is all a part of your journey which you are acing, straight A student well done and keep it up, I am looking forward to support one of your drives in the near future. Convoy two will cross the bridge and go around the corner (Loopers convoy) and convoy 1 will stop just short of the corner we will deflate here and put the flags up, there will be two separate briefings.

Dear Desert wanderers, I am working on having a second lead for Saturday to enable us to split the convoy thereby having two convoys this of course means we will be able to accommodate all of you in the waitlist, so watch this space as the week unfolds as we are confident we will be able to make this happen

@Frederic was a truly superb drive with the usual great lines and well thought out plan. always enjoy your drives allowing me to relax at the back Great support from a truly amazing team, in @Emanuel and @Imteeaz always a pleasure to drive with you guys and see how you have grown into leaders, and congrats @Imteeaz on your 100th drive with Carnity. The convoy drove exceptionally well throughout the drive, I believe we did not have any stucks (that i can remember) and just a handful of refusals that were expertly dealt with by the aforementioned support guru's. MUST READ AND COMPLY Environmental Policy Offroad Flag Guideline Two Way Radio Guideline Off road Driving Etiquette's Emergency details for all off-roaders Off Road Driving - Roles & Responsibilities Drive Details Level: Fewbie and above Meeting time: Sat 12th Apr 2025 7:00 AM (SHARP - Without any exceptions) Please be at the meeting point by 06:45 so you can deflate and put your flag up ensuring a prompt start at 07:00 for all. Mandatory off-road gears: As per your rank within the club, minimum requirement is a tire deflator, tire pressure gauge, compressor, walkie-talkie radio (programmed to all 10 Carnity Channels see link above), and off-road flag, First aid kit and fire extinguisher, for higher ranked drivers a shovel, kinetic rope & 2 soft shackles are required. Note: Please ensure that all of your off-road gear is securely tied down with ratchet straps in the rear compartment of the vehicle. Bungy type tie downs are not suitable for tying down off-road gear. Approximate finish time: 10:30-11:00 AM P.S. Only join if you have a compressor to inflate your tires after the drive.
