  1. front diff grinding sound can be caused by half-locked solenoid... so he's onto something. Nonetheless the leak is also something to address (and fast) regardless of the root cause of the problem there...
  2. and THAT is something they were not able to identify at al habtoor? I mean - have they even looked under the car? does every driver in this country need to be a mechanic in order to have a reliable car?
  3. ...I was going 70km/h till I reached my place and pulled my washer... what a boring ride Next time I'm going to have a portable power washer for occasion like this one. It's mad how much mud got inside my rims...
  4. for people with cute little fuel tanks ... adnoc at Sweihan seems to be the last refuel place, or are there any other stations on the E16 that are not listed on maps?
  5. Good drive, gents! thank you for the opportunity! @Andrew John Melvill you were on top of things today! @Shaun J I hope you managed to get yours washed before picking up Mrs from the airport: And the entire crew during rescue mission: @Luke K P, I'm intrigued by your red beast! Awesome looking ride!
  6. yeah, I read it. They got me with the "formalities". If that's not RTA approved, I don't have time to play cat and mice with them and re-do it every time I need to do inspection... not worth the effort. I'll just get a car with more suspension travel in stock setup...
  7. Well... it got nicely trimmed this time... I'll need couple more drives to shave it on the other side too
  8. thanks gents, 3h 8m driving with speeds often exceeding 70km/h - I didn't know @Islam Soliman from this side! Very aggressive and demanding drive! @Ishak, I hope you will not have any issues finding the right shop to quickly balance your wheel. Have a great weekend gents!
  9. @Islam Soliman can you share the meeting point estimate? I would like to know which way is the wrong way (e.g. I am not sure if I will be able to get up at 3AM if we will approach Faqa from Abu Dhabi side ). So just to be clear where is this drive going to start...
  10. thanks @Emanuel, I'll ask you once again after a few drives. G015s seem like the perfect compromise. I got mine HT shattered during one drive but still got a pair of new 39s instead of a set of 15s. Who knows, maybe the next set will finally be 015 based on your recommendation.
  11. Is 015 worth if you do desert drives? I decided that for this one or two rock-climbs a year getting 015s makes zero sense... 039 (H/T) is perfect for the desert. It's a controversial opinion and a lot of folks might disagree, but I don't need the grippy tread tires for the sand... Or do I?
  12. @Rohit Deginal, front wheel in the air!
