  6. Try here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/YxufyHEGkAq9mcV27?g_st=ic I’ve noticed the app can be a bit difficult with opening links sometimes. Staying inside a web browser usually works. As a fall back this is the lat-long: 24°51'52.3"N 55°24'09.8"E 24.864519, 55.402720
  7. Hey guys - had a great drive with you all this afternoon, thank you! A prompt arrival of everyone in good time saw us get started a little ahead of the 3.30 planned start and we made good pace across Al Hayer initially. This area was packed with wildlife, including camels, gazelle, and a very large vulture. It was also stunningly hot at 46 celsius, and some very soft sands around We soon pushed on across the E95 and into the Sweihan area. The terrain changed - less vegetation, larger dunes and increasing levels of technical difficulty. We kept the pace, mixing time in the dunes with time to recover on the sabkhas. A final push on some flowing dunes and we finished the drive. There was a good level of comms and focus throughout the drive; with minimal refusals and no stucks. Good work all and thank you @Ale Vallecchi for supporting.
  8. @Hani crest king - argh...that sucks. Hope it's an easy fix and look forward to catching you on the next one! Please aim to be at the meeting point for circa 3pm - we will start rolling at 3.30pm. The meet point is per the link in the drive description, and we will use Channel 3 (446.056-25). Please see the convoy order below...
  9. Dear @Warbs @Chema @Hani crest king @_Piotr_ @Danie @Zsolt - I had a quick chat with @Ale Vallecchi earlier about Sunday afternoon's drive and we've decided to modify the plan slightly, such that we're driving into the direction of the sun (and so the shadows are more easily visible to us as we drive across the sand), i.e. we need to flip to driving from the east to the west. Please note we will now plan to start at what I had originally planned as the exit point - I have updated the links in the post - our start point will be here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/G6XcZkrA1NTyhbkK8 We will set ourselves the goal of exiting towards Sweihan - so some fun dunes towards the end of the drive! Grateful if you can all double check. No need to post a reply, either leave your RSVP in or remove yourself if you can't make it. Thanks!

  11. DRIVE PLAN 🏜️ Dune with the Sadness — Saad to Miheyyer 🏜️ Fewbies and above, it's time to leave your worries in the dust! Join us this Sunday afternoon as we carve a fresh line from Ramlat Al Saad to Miheyyer — no sadness allowed on these dunes. We'll air down and roll out as the afternoon heat starts to ease, chasing that golden sunset across untouched sands. Perfect terrain for newer drivers to build confidence, practice throttle control, and soak up those big desert views. Expect good vibes, patient marshals, and plenty of photo stops. Bring water, snacks, and a full tank. Many thanks to @Ale Vallecchi who will be supporting me on this drive. We will aim to be rolling by 3.30PM and finish at a stop on the E66 before sunset. 12. Hey guys - many thanks again, I had a lot of fun going out with you all this morning. It was a varied drive, starting with some surprisingly clean and fun to drive on sands around Old Lady Dune, before a much less comfortable trip across the technical dunes to go past the airport and into Salamat itself. Following our short break we moved through the Oasis Half Bowl, 360 Bowl, Al Yarhar Bowl and finally the Egg Bowl, before using the last 20 minutes to just enjoy the slopes. Thank you to @Asif Hussain and @Andrew John Melvill for your support, and it was great to see @Diego, @Krinesh and @Zed at the back with the trucks! Finally well done @Danie, you stepped up well today and did your first drive in Salamat nicely. I was a little late in starting the track recorder, so the numbers below are actually a bit more like 3 hours driving and 65 km distance covered. 13. Wouldn’t change a thing, Zeddy…I learned how to fix cars in the far side of Liwa with you!
  14. @Zed If you extra promise to make sure your fluids are topped up, battery leads torqued down and gearbox linkage is tight…then of course!
