  1. Oh, nice! Happy with that! Will give some more options for variety in drives, and progress in learning. Very glad I joined this community, with its structured approach and fantastic setup to make you learn and improve bit by bit from very welcoming and patient leaders and crew. Good also to meet with new people around a shared common subject, and a great way to unwind and leave the city. Thanks all, here’s to meeting you again on next drives. @Gaurav, see you tomorrow! Thanks, dear Sir! Hope you get the Tahoe fixed soon and meet up on a next adventure!
  2. Easiest way to test? Where I’m originally from, we’d say park 1 rear wheel on the pavement and the other on the wet grass. Give it some gas and you’ll quickly see if you actually manage to drive off. (RWD only) Ofcourse, the trouble in Dubai is finding wet grass that isn’t someones lawn.
  3. @Frederic, what a fantastic drive we enjoyed today! Thank you so so much, it had all the ingredients! Good scenery, a variety of dunes and challenges, a nice mix of stucks that taught us a thing or two, tremendous fun on longer slopes and good driving between them. Just awesome! @Vanessa8580 very nice meeting you and it was really good driving behind you, tried to learn from your well-chosen lines. @essam ibrahim Thanks for the sweep, and allowing us the entertainment of seeing your 409 horses race uphill 😊 And let’s not forget a thank you to the rest of the group for being such good company ☝️👍🏻👍🏻
  4. That would indeed work if it is an LSD, but if it really is a locker that only engages at more than 100rpm difference, you will not make that rotation speed by hand. It is supposedly a spring-loaded automatic locker. Confusingly, both systems exist under the “G80” name. So you are both right.
  5. Good morning @Frederic I took myself off the list, just too tired, travel schedule was brutal this week and appears to also be the same the coming week. Have to be honest to myself and others and not risk dozing off en route to the starting point or the way back. Your description of the drive as well as the experience on your last drive make me do this with a heavy heart, though! Hope to join again soon. Best regards and enjoy the drive!
  6. that looks (and reads) awesome indeed, thanks for sharing!
  7. Sorry Doc, didn’t get round to shaking your hand before we rode off at the end, but thank you for a wonderful experience and hats off to you and the rest of the team. Hope to join again soon!
