Great thread, thank you!
Quick question on this video - is there a relevance to the color of the sand? I was wondering if the lighter one is softer that needed the driver to push the gas, but didn't need as much on the darker (looks more firm?), but perhaps he kept his gas on - that ended up more than needed?
Happy Friday! Thought I’d post a quick update!
many thanks to @Gaurav for such a safe and professional “Masterclass” - thoroughly enjoyed the sand and have learned a bit! Looking forward to a newbie drive now
Thank you @Luke K P, @Frederic & @Ishak - appreciate the messages so much! Looking forward!
@Frederic - I wish! Regrettably, the few leads on "manual"s I chased all had close to ~180K. That may not be a bad thing - but with no 4x4 experience, I didn't want to pursue! Perhaps, one day!
Hey there good people - Happy Sunday!
My name is Rajeev. I've lived here in Dubai for the last 12 years. Never done any "off-roading" during my time here but have been munching on it for years ... but I hope it's time now!
A couple of weeks ago, I set out to look for a "manual" wrangler but soon realized it's easier said than done. Pivoted and took the plunge this weekend - a '23 Rubicon!
I'd love to learn the desert and do a few rides. Figured I'd let my stock jeep settle in for a few 100Ks before signing up for a course with you good Carnity people!
Been reading through some of the posts here - and excited! I hope I do run into some of you at some point.
