Remove the rear O2's and if they are cover with carbon, clean them up and that can sort this 2C7B code. Worst case scenario replace sensor.

For DSC Fault 5E18: Engine management code my 90% doubt is throttle valve actuator.

To be honest if gear is failing you will feel lot more than just shutting down on low rpm, like jittery gear shift, lack of power, delay in down/up shift etc. It seems a mechanical glicth to me

when have you replaced the spark plug and coil? they could be culprit too before hitting the expensive part, fix or double check the basics

Is the engine management light is on? or any other light code is shown on display?

Also research more online forums and read about nasty BMW relays that throws many diff faults coz of one relay failure, it could be that issue too.

I understan tears as years typo, but im still unable to find wht there lifetime warranty and evem in wheels review it says same marketing text and specs as there website is saying without any detail of waranty and wht does lifetime mean

I keep seeing Borgward advertisement on sites and gmail and displaying the LIFETIME WARRANTY

When i visit the site there 2 out of 3 car shows error page (BX7 and BX6), and the one BX5 loads the page with all details but no mention of warranty

Really curious to know what type of lifetime warranty this brand offereing, has anyone here tried borgward cars here?

Best car insurance in UAE is the one who offers a refund on pro-rata basis without customers begging for their money back. Other shady insurance will always come up with the excuse that after the first 3 or 4 months - no refunds, after using vehicle recovery - no refund and crap.

I used roadside once last year and it was a smooth experience, can't rem the insurance name tbh.

As per my experience, please avoid the cheapest insurance as they come up with zero value in case you met with an accident and HUGE excess in case of cheapest comprehensive insurance. It's better to spend 200 -500 dhs more and go with the best car insurance than the cheapest one. my two cents. as when you have an accident you are already traumatized and don't need other bloodsuckers around you to make your situation worst. Same 200-500 will look peanut in case of any claim and make you regret on that bad choice.

I agree to change all hose pipes which are of similar age and condition, means they are about to fail and burst any moment. You might not be this much lucky in next incident and you know how expensie BMW repairs are if you are a long time user.

AAA are very good if you can afford them, alternatively 4x4 motors, offroad zone, and icon auto are also nice for Jeep related matters. One of my friends was very happy with them.

Does anyone remember that era when we used to think electric transport will be the slowest due to power supply and now it become faster than petrol and diesel cars. Electric + solar way to charge would be an ideal combination, drive whole day for free in sunny countries like UAE.

Thanks guys for your valuable tips, my friend is specifically looking for 4 door car with 5 seats as he has two kids and wife. This car should be mostly used on road and weekend on offroad but it should perform good for dune bashing and not just wadi crawler suv. My friend didnt like pajero, patrol and cruiser as they are way too common and he is looking for something less common ride to be little different. video above is really nice, tempt me to start offroad too.

Posting this for my friend to help him choose and decide which one is all rounder and better for desert: Toyota FJ Cruiser or Nissan Xterra.

With VAT being introduced round the corner, let's discuss any impact of VAT introduction on car industry in UAE. I am hearing lot of rumours of insurance being doubled, car maintenance will be tripled, used car and rent a car will be more expensive and what not crap on daily basis. 

Looking forward to hear something solid, concrete and fact based news or official proposal of possible impact of VAT in cars world.

It's an arab world ancient or cultural mentality that selling your car means OMG you have gone poor to sell your car.....!!!! result in few hiding to save their image and other 90% follow blindly just like two antenna from G55 to yaris, corolla and even on some hiace buses.
