@Emanuel @Looper @_luke_ @Diego @Riyad @Danie @_Herman_ @Infaz @Krinesh @Noufal @Ahmed Farouk @Ash S. Dear Desert Surfers! The RSVP is now closed, looking forward to seeing you all in the morning! Some quick notes to get us organised: 1.) With the very kind support of Emanuel and Looper, we will split the convoy so we can run two small but perfectly formed groups across the sands. No racing or shenanigans planned, but we will run similar routes and aim to meet at the Ghafftein Bowl for 08:00 for a social break together. 2.) We will aim to be rolling by 06:45 - so please aim to have cars ready by 06.35 so we can do a quick brief and get rolling. 3.) Please see below the Convoy split - Convoy 1 will gather to the left side of the meet point, and Convoy 2 to the right side . 4.) Convoy 1 will be on Channel 10 (446.231), and Convoy 2 will be on Channel 9 (446.206). Meet Point: https://maps.app.goo.gl/DHWXGk57ijEAENYW9 / 24.360611, 55.401139 Thanks all - looking forward to seeing you!

Coffee Club: Nahel Nights Starting from Sweihan, we’ll point the convoy east and go hunting for the best terrain we can find on the way toward Nahel. Expect a mix of bowls, long ridgelines, power climbs and high switches, with plenty of opportunities to work the cars through bigger terrain while keeping the drive smooth and flowing. Somewhere along the way, we’ll find ourselves a suitably high dune, park up at the top and take a proper Coffee Club break with a view across the surrounding desert. After coffee, we’ll continue east and work our way toward the exit at Nahel Pumping Station. Big dunes, good views, and coffee in the middle of nowhere. Hard to complain. Camp chair is mandatory. No chair, no latte. 😎 And because it’s a school night… You’ll be home before midnight — assuming you live in Abu Dhabi. 🌙 MUST READ AND COMPLY Environmental Policy Offroad Flag Guideline Two Way Radio Guideline Off road Driving Etiquette's Emergency details for all off-roaders Off Road Driving - Roles & Responsibilities DRIVE DETAILS Level: Fewbie Plus and above Meeting time: 20:00 (SHARP - Without any exceptions) Meeting Point: https://maps.app.goo.gl/5pm8C349tJn5MnfT7 Co-ords: 24.382126, 55.390770 Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance. It was fun driving with you. @ChrisW thank you for guiding me on refusals and encouraging when done right. it was good night with some amazing cold coffee.

Hello @Ale Vallecchi, unfortunately, I have to back out. Still fine tuning a few more things on my Jeep. Hope to see you on the next drives. Enjoy tomorrow.

Dear Desertnauts A quick briefing for tomorrow's drive. Get ready for a possibly challenging "technical" drive, on soft sand, and through tight dunes, with bowls, low but very wavy crests, and some vegetation, especially closer to the Qudra area. On the way back to the "Eye of Sauron" we should find the time to drive on some long range, taller dunes, where we'll do our best to speed up and practice switcing as well as side-slopes. The convoy at the moment looks like this: @Mahmut in Second Lead @Jerome at #3 @Giacomo at Center @Hartzel at #5 @Shary at #6 and @J-P L in Sweep. See you tomorrow afternoon. Have a nice end of the week.

Another great night in the desert. Thanks @_luke_ for organizing this trip and support team @Giacomo and @ChrisW to make it smooth. @Noufal it was great to meet you. Nothing beats stopping in the middle of the desert for chat and coffee. I put together a short video from the drive to capture the atmosphere. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DdG3duvILb1/?stkn=YzVyaGowbHZvbmtx See you next time

Drive Summary We kicked off at 20:00 with a short warm-up loop while @Noufal made his way over after trusting one of Google’s more imaginative “roads” and running a little late. The warm-up quickly delivered a couple of really nice ridge climbs, and from the top we spotted some promising terrain further out in the distance. Promising, as it turned out, meant deep, soft sand. Lots of it. And plenty of vegetation thrown in for good measure. Refusals were kept to a minimum until I managed to get crested, as usual, on an otherwise beautiful ridge line while trying to cross back to the right. “Got scared, got stuck.” A nice shovelling session followed by a little finessing with the winch by @Giacomo has us all moving again fairly quickly. From there we found some smooth, flowing bowls and had a relaxed cruise around before the most important part of the evening began: Coffee Club. Both caf and decaf (thanks @Piotr.) were on offer, followed by a good chat in the sand. A fun, easygoing night with some nice terrain, a little exploration, one predictable stuck, and plenty of coffee. Here is a nice pic from @ChrisW of me wondering how it all went so wrong. again 😂.

Hi All With the convoy nicely oversubscribed, could you all please confirm and/or update your RSVP (including those on the waitlist) by COB Friday. I will then finalize the convoy order on Friday Evening/Saturday Morning. Thanks Andrew
  21. Thank you so much guys - it’s been a great pleasure learning to offroad with Carnity and go from newbie to leading drives. I think the ethos our club has is unique, and that comes from all of our members. I’m looking forward to enjoying many more drives and learning more together with all of you.
