As an FYI, the meeting spot is not the usual place, but at the far end of the Transport Inspection Station. @Frederic will be hosting a NB drive which is meeting at the usual location, so make sure you wave and beep the horn at everyone as you go past 😎

DRIVE DESCRIPTION: With the Dubai summer slowly easing and the temperatures finally starting to come down a bit, it’s time to enjoy the desert a little differently. We’ll start our drive at 5:00 PM, while there is still plenty of daylight to play on the dunes. As the sun begins to drop, we’ll find a nice spot around 6:00 PM, park the cars, pull out the chairs, and simply enjoy the desert. No rush. No engines. Just 30 minutes to watch the sunset, have a coffee, take some photos, and enjoy the cooler evening air. β˜•πŸŒ… At around 6:30 PM, we’ll pack up, switch on the lights, and head back into the dunes. The same desert starts to feel completely different after sunset. With fewer visual references and only our headlights showing the way, we’ll continue for approximately one hour of night driving, finishing around 7:30 - 08:00 PM. One drive. Two different moods. πŸŒ… Daylight β†’ β˜• Sunset β†’ πŸŒ™ Darkness See you in the sand! Please remember to bring your chairs, coffee and snacks for yourself, cameras and good company. Looking forward to sharing this sunset with you all πŸŒ„πŸ“Έ. Loved it great drive !! Fast and furious 😎

Everyone arrived early, and after a quick look at the new fencing, we decided to make a dash through and go hunting for the dunes. The opening section had plenty of vegetation to work around, but we still managed to pick out some nice high lines and keep the convoy moving. The further we pushed in, the cleaner the terrain became, and before long the dunes really opened up β€” flow after flow after flow. With a small convoy, we could move quickly and keep the lines loose. There were some big sidies in the dark, with the V8s roaring across the dunes and plenty of momentum being carried from one section to the next. We eventually finished up at the double bowl, where we pulled some seriously big lines. The sand there was unbelievably soft, and even the V8s were starting to struggle for traction. From there, it was engines off, coffee out, and a bit of stargazing to finish the night. Small convoy. Fast movement. Loose lines. Loved it! @Sebastian Nohse @Giacomo looking forward to seeing any pics or videos you might have captured... see you on the next drive!

Hi all, not a newbie but I'm bringing my wife and son along and they're inexperienced in the dunes. I wanted to tag along to this drive and give them a taste of the less crazy side of driving in the dunes.

Thanks @MikeT for the introduction. Yes please bring an offroad flag along as this is a vital safety requirement.
