No waypoint chasing, no distance target and no pressure to reach anywhere. We’ll simply follow the best terrain we can find and spend the morning hunting out sidies, long ridges and flowing lines.
The focus is simple: keep moving, keep it smooth, and make the most of the cooler morning sand before the heat builds.

This will be a fun learning experience drive, with some nice seeping dunes in Sweihan, and a chance to take in the area and what it has to offer, but the main goal will be climbing and learning from each others lines, finding the sweet spot for you and your car and what you are comfortable with, how to safely climb up using momentum and when and how to turn down safely, how to slingshot around bowls and use momentum to climb, we may go as far as Nagra but there are plenty of lovely practice areas here.
Should be a fun morning with some great learnings for all

Action Plan: A long-range drive, from the border village of Mihayyer, as close as one can get to the Omani border, through a wild, almost not driven area, across E95 into the larger Sweihan/Nahil area, through the unique Chalk Domes, the fabulous Ghaf Bowl, and finally to the dream-like Nahil Lake. An uncommon route, with the possibility of enjoying the local fauna, a wild environment, and the golden hour on equally golden sand. Not an abundance of tall dunes, but a variety of terrains with the need for a mix of driving skills.
What to bring along: Loads of water, snacks (for yourself), smiles, face masks, rubber gloves, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn.
Approximate finish time: 06:30 PM (at sunset)
P.S. Only join if you have a compressor to inflate your tires after the drive.
