SUMMARY

No technical zones. No complicated route. Just 2.5 hours of pure dune play through the south of Al Fayah.

We’ll be moving at a strong, flowing pace, hunting down as many ridge lines, big and small, as we can find. The goal is simple: climb them, ride them, cross them, and keep moving.

We’ll deliberately skip the tighter technical areas and focus on open terrain, smooth lines, momentum and maximum time up on the ridges.

No distance target. No waypoint target. Just:

More ridges. More flow. More fun.

DRIVE DETAILS

Level:  Intermediate  and above

Meeting time: 06:30 (SHARP - Without any exceptions)

Co-Ords: 24.377738, 54.983707

Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance.

What to bring along: Loads of water, snacks (for yourself), smiles, enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

Approximate finish time: 10:30 am

P.S. Only join if you have a compressor to inflate your tires after the drive.

LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE

  • This drive is limited to 6 cars only. RSVP will close on Saturday - 12:00.
  • If the RSVP is full, you can add your name to the waitlist, once someone drops, you will be moved to the RSVP list.
  • RSVP will close a day prior to preparing a convoy list.
  • Latecomers will be returned back - Without any exceptions.
  • Members without RSVP will be returned back - Without any exceptions.
  • Please withdraw your RSVP, if you aren't joining, so your spot can be taken by others.
  • Repeated no-show members after RSVP will have their account suspended for a month

As an FYI, the meeting spot is not the usual place, but at the far end of the Transport Inspection Station.
@Frederic will be hosting a NB drive which is meeting at the usual location, so make sure you wave and beep the horn at everyone as you go past 😎

What a fantastic morning, just what I needed! Ridge after ridge after ridge all joined together by some sick lines. 

Was fun to meet up with Fred's newbie convoy, even got to give them a ridge cresting recovery masterclass!

DRIVE SUMMARY 

We came early, and we came ready.

From the start, we were spotting everything — every promising line, every crest, every ridge worth taking. By the end of the drive, it felt like every ridgeline had been marked.

There was a little bit of shovelling along the way ,😅 just enough to keep things honest, but mostly it was a morning of good lines, good driving and plenty of laughs.

A bit of digging. A lot of ridges. A lot of fun.
